    Just because... :)

The reason is that the M17X is amazing but it has a few major flaws and a lot of people were expecting a refresh with the flaws fixed at CES.

nope, i like my lappy so much - i don't need the refresh now and at least one year for sure. if we'll get a new design radically different from m17x i will not buy this refresh. i don't need i7 due to it's new arch. and the new gpus are not new till now=)) so it's a clear point for me

They're giving the option to make the M15x LESS powerful.. I don't think that will sell very well.

Funny, when you choose the I7-620 it won't let you choose the 260GTX. Wonder if they are still tweaking and will be adding more stuff?]

I guess the benefit is the integrated graphics on the chip? Maybe that would be better for those who want to be mobile? Maybe everything will fully be up by tonight.

What are the differences between the i7-720qm and the i7-620m. Same price, so is one better than the other.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong. The I7-620m has an integrated intel graphics die so you do not have to run a dedicated graphics card. Used to save battery life. :)

Edit: Oh, and also what Sleey0 said. ;)

Unfortunate for the rep, but the changes are not live. None of the tech specs are updated, and the configurations for both laptops are of the old model. The only change is the addition of the two new processors and increasing the cost of the 15. I bet you the configuration list for both changes by tomorrow morning.

Not only that, but you still cannot configure with the 260GTX. I doubt they are done with the updates just yet.

Edit: Sorry, I did not mean to post the above quote. :)

( I had the E1705 and the same problem. Dell gave me an M6400 as a replacement. If it is under warranty they should replace your system. Hold out for the system you want. I had to escalate the case and open new ones )

There's no dpc latency with the new chipset. The only thing we may have to worry about is throttling but I've got that covered.
