    Start/All Programs/Accessories then snipping tool . Take the mouse and wrap it around any image you have on your screen then save it where ever. Go to imageshack.com or your favorite image hosting site and upload it then copy the link they give you for web forums into a post here :).

    typing on my old lappy while vantage is running

    Why does the 8.4 DNA drivers say 8.6 in device manager?

    Just curious if that's normal

    now it says "4850 Series" instead of just "4850" when looking at the display adapters

    9.4 DNA was NOT working, I did the driver sign thing and all..

    no avail.

    hope these work, I got work tomorrow and my mission for today was to get this baby running!

    Aye, Vantage GPU > All. Or just take the SM2.0/SM3.0 scores from 3Dmark06 and disregard the total score in a pinch.

    No 9.7 wont work. I tried every single driver in every possible way on Win 7 and Vista and only the DNA drivers and of course the archaic AW drivers will install.

    Heres an 06 score from 3870s i just ran lol its 1280x900 though as i dont have 1280x1024 on this panel yet :). i did that for Moo since he is about as fond of 06 as i am :D.

    # 1. Uninstall drivers from Programs and Features/Add and Remove Programs (express uninstall recommended)
    # 2. Reboot / boot with F8 disable driver signing!
    # 3. Install drivers from setup menu
    # 4. Reboot and enjoy

    no avail

    Those DNA 9.4s should be fine on your machine and give you some indication of performance .

    Did you grab SetFSB yet and OC the CPU at all to see if it had any effect on your scores at all ?.

    You will be hitting High 11 k once you start overclocking(the GPUs that is) :) maybe even 12k . Those cards are beasts just need some good drivers. I want a set for my machine :(.

    The cards are obviously clocked down compared to the desktop versions.
    But for the pictures...is there something like a multiplicator for the clocks in GPUs, like there is with the CPU?
    Because its set to 50% . I don't think that the score would be 9k if the cards would be running at this low clocks.

    try going into alienware command center and click on advanced next to high performance mode and make sure the gpus are on maximum performance because my m17 changes it on its own
