Thanks....that's pretty damn low
andyea I havent seenthe m15x justthe desktop .... If you are goingto callme a lier at least say it out loud ......
Or is it hard to believe I know things ?
-
-
LOLOLOL
good news nonetheless -
When you type/spell that badly, yeah it's hard to believe. ;þ
-
Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!
-
I just fing woke up from surgery , would you care to see the iv they just pulled out ? The morphine and anestesia is still wearing off !
So don't be getting onto me .... I'm still laying in a hospital bed trying to type on a iPhone
Look I have no reason to lie about anything on nbr. I have nothing to prove and no one to impress -
Next couple of days ???
I don't think they'd release a new system on Saturday with reduced hours they have on that day. So I guess that means tomorrow? IDK I want to trust you and him but I somehow don't think they'd release a system as anticipated as this on a weekend, but heres to hoping and the fact they'd only get more potential for sales volumes by releasing ASAP in September.
-
I'm just kidding Moo, all friendly comments here. May I ask what happened?
-
@ sleey
And yea it us true , Chaz and people who have helped and I kno and trust have confirmed it's a mini m17x -
Don't try to blame the drugs. I've seen you type sober.
-
That was directed at phinagle and sleey
-
Way to go .... I have trouble With typeing for certain reasons
I wish I could type but sadly I can't -
So the chassis will be untouched? Or will there be minor differences of the design? Any one have an estimated weight of the M15x?
-
Ok that's what he said, I thought it was a bit trivial but I guess the one thing that had a definite and clear answer from him was that it is indeed an M15x.... I wasn't sure to that point that this was going to be the actual product....
-
Don't know what crawled up your butt, moo.
Didn't say you were a liar or any of that. I just said that what the one poster said (xeine or whatever) sounded exactly like what you were saying the new M15x would be like.
That's all....Meh -
ARgh! when is this coming out! <-- thats what she said.
-
___^
hey! that part's supposed to be for the poster after you.
--------
wish you a speedy recovery Moo. -
tempers flaring. hope Dell does something soon.
-
Very true, drake. lol
I just want to see this thing already!
At least with the M17x we had a countdown and knew for sure what was going on..... -
Sorry
this was supposed to be a touch up surgery and halfway through they realized it was and they closed me back up and told me I need another reconstruction with 4 months of therapy
so sorry I was just upset .
I wanna see something to... -
I hope you plan on suing the doctors for malpractice, Moo... I never had one good experience with doctors or dentists when I lived in Louisiana...
-
Dang, moo.
You need to get some docs that know what they are doing.
As an RN myself I see too many patients not taken care of properly
-
You guys just need to take an European system to handle your health system...
So, will the M15x be SLI? 2 HDDs? What exactly is a mini M17x? Looks like it, smaller? I have a Ferrari miniature and, sadly, it's nothing but a miniature. I mean, if I throw it very hard, it can go fast!!!
-
No thanks to outrageous taxes.lol
I lived in Germany for 4 years and nearly half their pay went to the government.
Again, no thanks..... -
Most likely the M15x will not be SLI and it will look like the M17x but smaller.
-
Lets not do politics please...I don't log on to the AW forums to read about politics, theres enough of that on like 80% of any other website forum/blog.
-
Amazing what rumors/speculation can do
-
So far it we know it will look like it but we have to wait and see what is in the laptop
-
you know, I was still contemplating water cooling(not necessarily for the M15x, but new AW laptops in general) and how that would turn out in a laptop....
..then realized it would be HEAVY. And moving a laptop around constantly? not a good idea to liquid cool, things can happen; as opposed to a stationary desktop.
Just thinking aloud. -
Is a single GDDR5 4870 too much to ask?
-
Course not....then again I'm amazingly biased
Are dual GDDR5 4870's (M17x) too much to ask? Again, being a biased power-hungry , I don't think so.
Tomorrow is ATI's event, Sept 11. Lets hope they have some good news regarding the mobile front. -
I have been clamoring for 4870's for the M17x since it was released..lol
-
4870 is officially old tech. Desktop 5870s go up for sale September 22nd in the US and the 23rd in Europe.

And new news on the mobility versions:
http://www.electronista.com/articles/09/09/10/mobility.radeon.hd.5k.to.cover.whole.range/ -
I'd be happy with "old tech" at this point. lol
Just to have the option would be nice
-
Wow, 2.1 billion transistor? Really?
-
Thanks for the info Phinagle . I know what im buying sept 22 then .
-
But will it have the 280M?
-
More then likely it will
-
Maybe not.
Maybe it will have the 5870M since it's release is right around the same time
I know, I know.... Just what we need -- more speculation! -
Cool! Maybe I will buy and AW again!!!
... or maybe not!
When is it coming out? Right in time for Clevo's W860CU release!!!
-
A Mobility 5800 card is as unlikely to be in the M15x as SLI is.
There should be more details on the new ATI cards tomorrow as news sites report on what went down at the Evergreen Vision event but so far only the desktop cards have a launch date.
I just know if the Mobility 5000 cards are ever offered in an AW notebook upgrading the M17x is going to be as painful as trying to order a pair of 4850s for the M17.
In case anyone is wondering what the whole Vision thing is about:

Possible that the M15x will have the new ATI cards and they are being co-released tomorrow? We know for sure that ATI is having an event and AW is due to release the M15x any day now
Just thinking out loud....
-
If they release the 5000 cards for the M17x ill bet there will be quite a few M17x for sale vs waiting for an upgrade that will cost god knows how much . -
That would be a nice surprise, scook!
-
Wait, weren't you the one in the side topics that posted the new ATI cards were going mobile first?
-
I was litterally going to order the M17x...right when I found this thread. I hadn't checked the board since I had joined and it occured to me to check it just in case. Lo and behold I find links to ATI releases and a possible new M15x.
By the rate I change my mind on what I'm going to buy I wont have a new laptop for years.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Dell/AW went the same route they did when they intro'd the M17 instead of upgrading the old Santa Rosa m17x...offer a separate laptop with mobile i7 and 5800 cards.
-
Yeah that would be a smarter move all together and something i would be very much interested in . Hopefully they nix the Auto contrasting in that process as well
..
Check out this Anandtech article about the new AMD GPU and some other cool stuff

Yup. Info being reported at the time by news sites suggested that mobile versions were due out first. I base my speculation on the info available at the time.

Hmmm. Breaks out the DPI Calculator.
30" 16:10 screens are 25.4" wide by 16" high so if you stack the monitors 3 high by 2 wide you're still only at 48" tall...that's only big enough for life-sized midget pr0n.
Darn....but then again you if rotate the screens display 90 degrees.... -

I hope my theory holds true, it would make sense right?!
I am not even interested in a 15" laptop....but the anticipation is killing me haha (and I wouldn't mind some new fancy ATI GPU's although it would become much more of a PITA to switch to integrated - this is all assuming decent mobile driver support that is)
