    OK

    take note of the desktop on the right ;)

    the alienhead isn't flat, its slightly curved and look @ the position ..... its either the new desktop ;) or the old one (doubt it )


    now the desktop on the left IS NOT the new AW desktop @ ALL (trust me !!!!)
    its either a rebranded XPS or something new. The alienhead appears to be @ the top of the machine. Kinda @ the top like you would look down @ it like a desktop .....

    The non-inclusion of ATI's 5xxx series (DX11) would be dissappointing....but not having GDDR5? that's just depressing.

    GDDR3 4870's are basically at the exact same level as the 280M's as I understand it..There would be no gain in adding it, other than to give users more than one choice. (something the LCD needs, not GPU xD)

    I don't think I could return to Microcenter without a restocking fee.

    EDIT: As a matter of fact, according to their website, its a 15% restocking fee unless the unit is defective and exchanged for the same model. On top of that, its 30 days for your refund to process. I think I'll just keep my M17x and if they release the ATi cards and I deem it worth the upgrade, I'll just contact Dell and upgrade the machine...

    If you look close at the image it appears to be the m17x on the right side by looking at the lid curves, so it might be the m15x but on the left side there something else it looks like 2 red lines going from the top to bottom equally so it might also be a new desktop on the same time

    Yeah that's my geuss as well. So visually the m15x will offer nothing new but i really wonder what the desktops will look like.

    I don't think the M15x will be a carbon copy of the M17x entirerly.

    It'll have similar design cues and use aluminium, but it should look a little different....

    Not if you have a bad system in your products. The m15x needs to be replaced as soon as possible. It is not worthy of alienware and dell.

    I can't wait to see what this looks like. An by the posts here, it seems desktops might be here too. Nice.

    I do hope it looks at least a little different. 15in notebooks are not for me, but I definitely wanna see what will be added to the All Powerful line.

    For the new M15x, they decided to use the designs that they did not use for the M17x. So this means, we should be expecting one of the following designs...

    And those same newsletters show the front and back of a laptop, confirming that the laptop will most likely have both a back and a front!

    On the 'sneak preview' picture I don't think the lights look good on the front of the desktop but obviously it's not the best quality pic and they might do cool stuff like change colour/have effects. (if they are lights and not just picture effects/shine)

    Good thing I didn't cave and buy the m17x even thought it's good and all, I rather have a bit more portability with a 15" Either ways I'm excited for the new line of alienware =D

    Very interested in a new 15" or smaller design. Alienware seems to be one of the few non-Mac companies that is using metal chassis, and if I'm correct the current M15x is rather thin and light considering the power inside.

    I've not even considered alienware for many years, but if they make a thin+light laptop with high quality materials and great power, it may be my next.

    Only $5? The price of a base M17 in the UK has been fluctuating wildly each day for weeks now,some days it will be £799 the next it will be £1050,its currently sitting at £899.30...its all very confusing :confused:
