    It really doesn't matter to me what Alienware ends up doing with this landfall thing. Once I find out for sure what is going on then I will make my decision. I would like a new M15x. But I have no problem carrying around a M17x to my classes, a discount would be nice as well.

    I'm still saying tomorrow, 9-9-9, for their new announcements.

    It would kind of make sense if it was release tomorrow, the date and sort. Why would dell release a new product in the middle of their "sale" starting the 10th?

    Yes!!!! My M17x just shipped back today, hopefully ll have the funds credited back to my DPA by the end of next week so I can take advantage of anything new going on should I choose to. Either way, im probably going to get something :)

    oh wow this is very intresting check this out. They put up the starting price of the M15x! and it starts at $1,174! Here is the link to Dell's site. Look under the Alienware M17x. oh? whats this an Alienware M15x? alienware doesnt have a M15x out. They have the Area 51 m15x that starts at $1,049. Oh? There is no picture of the laptop next to it like there is for the M17x. Chances are very high (like 90%) that is the allpowerfull M15x

    Hmm it does appear that if you click on the link to m15x it takes you back to the alienware site with the old m15x. Although current price right now is only $1,049, strange they would put the price at $1,174 then.

    They will probably be replacing that page with the new one. Also why wouldnt they put the picture of the Area-51 m15x and call it that if thats what they meant to put.

    Thanks for asking Bubbamel. Was playing phone tag with a dell relashonship manager since last Thursday. Finally talked to him today. Basically, he told me he cant undo whats already been done. He said that when I choose to buy another M17x or any other Alienware product that I should call him first and that he could make it up to me by providing a substantial discount. Wonder what his definition of substantial is? :eek:

    Well, one of my friends tried to return an 4-day old faulty computer that had 6 BSOD during that time and the guy told him he could make it up to him.

    How?

    He offered my friend $75 to keep the computer.

    Not that it will happen to you, but just 1 example of the joys of random reps.

    Looks different to me. The black area on the lid goes edge to edge across, rises higher up the back, and has a triangular point where the M17x has a squared off top.
