The landfall pic, IMO, is a pic of the new lineup:
-New desktop chassis style
-M17x
-M15x
With all 3 resembling each other somehow...![]()
-
-
Why can't they release them now...I've got 72 hours left on my return policy!!!
-
-
-
I have a desktop. Are they just updating the case of components? That's the question.
-
The desktop will be totally different. It will have the same impact the M17x did for laptops.
-
Don't say that...so I should get the box out and start collecting stuff for the return. ha! I HAVE to initiate the return by Thursday. We talking new hardware AND a new case?
-
Your Aurora looks pretty top notch.
Unless you want an i7 then I think it would be a waste to return (especially with the restock fee). -
I would return it. But that's just me. You can fool yourself all you want into thinking you won't want it when it is revealed but chances are everyone will want a new one. Especially if you just happen to have bought an older model a few weeks ago.
-
I have to agree with WaR, I really hate the feeling when you've just bought something and then something new comes out and if you just waited those 2 weeks you coulda had it
.
Besides, Ati's Dx11 gfx cards should be avaible in the new Desktop and you could choose a SSD over the older raptor disks. Just my $0.02 though -
Depends on how much that 15% ends up costing
If it is going to be like $400 to return it, then I'd be like heck no.....
I guess that's just me. -
I'd just stick with the Aurora if I were you, with those specs it shouldnt really have any difficulty maxing whatever comes out in the next year/year and a half, unless of course you're one of those people obsessed with benchmark scores. Then,by all means return it XD
-
-
I believe AMDGamer already tried and was told he'd have to take the hit.....
-
Ah I see. He better spill some milk on that thing or something. Then he can say he has been troubleshooting it all this time. lol
Man, Alienware without Dell is just not the same. Dell would do anything for their customers. -
They didn't say I HAD to pay it...but its outlined in the return policy and I don't think the negotiate it until you actually call to make the return/re-order. I haven't gone there yet until I see the new desktop cases.
-
-
I'm just happy I have a couple of weeks to decide
Turns out it was a good thing I sent back my first M17x back in June -
-
Middle - m15x
right is aw desktop -
Doesn't the left system have an AW logo (alienhead) on the front?
If so, I don't think it will be an XPS..... -
Really looking forward to seeing these new products. I feel bad for AMDgamer as im in a similar situation. im still playing phone tag with a "dell relationship manager" over being hit with the restocking fee for returning my M17x. I plan on using dells unresolved customer service issue option to hopefully get out of it once the system is back in dell hands. I had returned it to get a better config, but now im going to hold off to see what Alienware's new offerings are.
-
I was under the impression that Alienware was the new XPS Gaming, so I would think that there are no more XPS Gaming desktops coming out, just more Dellienware PC's
!
-
the3vilGenius 3vil knows no fear
There not the new xps gaming yet but dell is slowly killing them off. they would lose alot of customers if they do that i think
-
Can't wait, now I'll just have to decide between the M17x and the M15x.
I'm betting on a 9-09-09 announcement. Beetles has their "invasion" release date set for then and it coincides with other extraterrestrial related topics of interest.
But that's another thread... -
I'm thinking day after a long weekend...I'm guessing tomorrow.
-
look @ the desktop on the left
the knotch in tyhe middle ???
and for those that think the xps and AW dont mix
-
They look great together...
-

And as for the alienware head turning up everywhere
There is also a picture of the m17x in the back of the new mobile razer mouse

...you use internet explorer? -
the3vilGenius 3vil knows no fear
......internet explorer? :/
-
I have been using IE as of late myself because i have been having problems with firefox and yahoo under windows 7 i should say so i just switched over since IE now offers the same things that i loved about firefox. Only thing i have not got working properly is spell check under IE
.
-
noone can be that desperate -
Chrome FTW!
-
I was going to try out some others but in the end i was just waiting for a fix from firefox since i knew i would make my way back to it eventually. Maybe ill give some of your guys suggestions a try and see whats what .
-
Chrome is the def the best browser I've used, but some sites don't like it (it's rare but it has issues once in a while).
-
-
...it's a very hard decision xD -
I think I'll be going with the Orochi. Looks like a more stable platform for a notebook gaming mouse.
-
I was looking at that one too. I like how it's wired/wireless. I say go with that one instead of the tactx. It's basically what...a g9? with revamped?
-
-
-
Only if the damn AW mouse had wireless capabilities, it'd be perfect -
Am I the only one getting redirected to Alienware India when going to allpowerful.com?
-
Edit: Strange, dell still has not updated its September catalog....hmmmm. -
Dont see any new systems yet...but it's early.
-
8:00am CST if anything happens today.
-
Just received an email from Alienware talking about a sale...nothing about the M15x.
-
Sucks. And that supposed Dell Signature Event is from September 10th to the 16th. It seems like all Alienwares will be included in it. This makes me think the M15x might still be a long way off. Why would they bring out a new computer during a sales event?
??? -
More visit the site during a sale event
