man i feel sick lol this whole situation has just left a bad taste in my mouth i mean they canceled my order in the boxing stage... ugh im not going to sleep well tonight.

 

dell's customer service and how they handle these kinds of situations is just plain pathetic. I don't know how they manager to keep their business running like this without a load of people complaining about all the bs they do.

 

Im ordering in Australia too.

I JUST got to "Work in progress" stage on Friday so hoping this week for it to go through and MAYBE have it next week... Maybe...

ive been on the phone all day im done talking to them for now same runaround gets tiring after awhile. i mean i explitive understand that that alienware and the xps are your top of the line product jesus i can handle a week long even 2 wait. but 6 weeks and a cancelation and you still cant give me what i want? please save the run around for someone complaining for there first push back ive heard that crap 100 times now.

I am going for x25-m 160 when it gets to around 400 dollars on amazon

 

300 - 400 For a Decent speed (200+ Dont care for write too much) and Decent GB (128+)

 

Not sure if you have heard of MSY (most probably you have) but they have a 128GB Kingston for $299 at the moment. Not sure if it's any good though i haven't done any research but static ice has Intel X-25M for like $469 (80GB) - $895 (160GB) or the OCZ Agility 120GB for $459.

Again - not sure on performances or what not but they're the prices and i'm not sure that $400 extra for an x-25 is worth the extra performance (Again... not sure...)

Also i have heard bad feedback from people buying SSD's off ebay and them not really being "new" so probably better off going through a retailer?

Probably would be best that way. I found a nice one 128GB 260MB/Read 170MB/Write $447 Dollars Aus.

 

Look at the reviews for the gskill falcon 2 there are two versions I tracked down a 450 dollar 128 version. 250/170 speeds I forget. Otherwise the intel ocz seems to have some issues when reading on the web. The gskill uses the same controllers as the intel x25 gear

Sure do any u don't have to do a firmware update from what I have read. Also look up robocopy and mklink to shift stuff onto the regular hard disk. Like temp dir and photos etc

My EDD of 3.19 hasn't moved since my 4th order was put in on 2.15

 

Replacement order placed 03/03/2010, EDD 21/04/2010.

I have been told the factory would be out of ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4870 cards for Crossfire until at least the end of the month, which is what causes massive delays at the moment. Take it for whatever it's worth.

 

Sheesh... we've been told its SSD drives, Bluray, now the ATi cards.... amazing...

 

soon it will be the RGB again repeat the cycle

In other news, as expected, mine has been delayed yet again, this time the new EDD is the 16th. That's half of my time in LA without a gaming notebook so far. /sigh

 

soo now that im back to square one how is everyone!! Im good dell sucks od course wish someone else offerd somthing comparable to the m17x for the price i got it at but sadly this is my only option not that thats a bad thing but i wish the whole matter was able to of been handled diffrent.
