The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.
lol!... maybe wey should wait 1 month and all specs will become 300 usd cheaper, as it happened to the m15x..... but I can't wait..... From all specs I just have one doubt and thats for the HDD.... How difficult it will be to upgrade it later to a SATA II solid state drive.... jeez!, Im going everything state-of-the-art... I dont even know how Im going to pay for all this!
You won't find that anywhere but from the November launch pics and as we can tell, a lot has changed since then (matte m17x? didn't have that in November)
I'm definitely very happy with my glossy m15x, especially given that it is so resistant to scratching. Matte is fine too, but as I mentioned to apple(alienware)/user, they mixed it up with the m17x for some reason and have part matte part gloss. That, I think, will look weird at best.
Well I reckon that the new MBPs that will be released will have a similar style, i.e. Aluminium build but with the glossy black bit like the iMac. That is the rumour anyway, when it is done with REAL metal and black, I think it looks cool but with Matte black and glossy, it just looks like they forgot to paint it or something.
The M15X on the other hand looked really cool with the silver gloss AND black gloss, the Black gloss really brings out the LCD so i always prefer black around the LCD.
