M17x Benchmarks thread !!!

Scoring very well in DMC4.

 

Can we bump this thread back up? I'm going to run some 3dMark06 results based on requested settings. If you guys don't want to see them let me know.

Trying to do what you ask of me.

First run is CPU @ 3.46 and I'm using the Dox drivers. GPU and 3D settings are stock.

Dox 182.46. Only one I found that works that are non-Dell.

Hmmm... dissapointing... has dell released any information when or if they are going to be releasing new drivers? or Nvidia?

they just released new beta drivers 186.12 , so i'm sure won't be long until they release official non beta drivers.

 

yeah i know what mean, i just got frustrated myself so i decided to play some of the games and get back to it later.

Nhancer settings - GPU is NOT OC'd - SLI and 3D settings are based off the 3dmark06 profile.

Under 3dmark06 Profile:
Texture Filtering=off
Trilinear optimization=off
Negative LOD Bias=off
Adjust LOD Bias=1
Force DXT3=off
Prerender Limit=1
Force Mip Maps=none
HDR=disabled
Dynamic Tiling=5

Edit: I just realized HDR is disabled. That will kill the score.

Just as expected.

 

Hey Kcissem i thought you said you picked up GTA4 and if so hows it running .

Did you run the built in benchmark on it yet ? .

yeah i ran the built in benchmark, @ 1900x1200 with all settings maxed with the exception of the view distance which was at 50, my average was 47fps. I have yet to play it though as i need to get a gamepad i can't drive for the life of me using the keyboard.

 

disable hdr. don't enable it.

 

hey mandrake for comparisons sake what did you get for your crysis benchmark @ 1900x1200 very high?? Mine was kinda low IMO when i did it a few days ago.

 

I did but that's why the score is only 12k.

 

mines is disabled. i'm going to also test this.

Can you also run it in DX9? it makes a huge difference in framerate but almost nothing to the visuals themselves.. also do you have Warhead?

 

Wow that score is great man and you just made my day as this was the one game i was concerned about the most performance wise

Now ill just have to find a decently priced Qx9300 and ill be set (game demands a quadcore basically) .

yeah your scores were quite a bit better than mine, unless doing it at 1900x1080 made that much of a difference. if i remember correctly i got about 22fps average @ 1900x1200 very high, dropping it to high settings only netted me 32fps average. maybe my sli wasn't working for somereason.

 

it was also ran with dells 186.12 beta drivers.

 

Shirley is sold out of Qx9300s atm and i really want to wait till i get the machine in hand before buying one unless i can get that extended time like you asked for.

 

You should be scoring Way higher then that Kcissem and those sound like Single GPU runs for sure

You can make a System.cfg and add this line to it as to make sure its running SLI

R_multigpu=1

That forces it to run SLI.

 

I did, I got 45 days... also I know you can talk to "cough" Zfactor

 

I don't see a DX9 option only 10 but it looks like you need to enable it. Is it possible it defaults to 9? ...and yes I have warhead but have not installed it yet.

 

yea if you are running the crysis Bench... you should be able to switch it to DX9...

if your not using the Crysis benchmark program you can make a shortcut to crysis on your desktop and under properties add this line -dx9 this will force direct x 9

Crysis.exe -dx9

Make sure there is a space between the e and the -

nice you just jump 300 points on tweaking alone.

now can you take a picture of memset for me and i'll tell you what to change.

lets break 16,000 with other touching your gpus.

btw i disabled hdr and i didn't do the 3rd run as well and i got 8365 instead of 10,300 stocked.

 

No memset here. It's not compatible with my chipset plus I'm currently running my 1333mhz memory. My other memory is rated higher (don't know if it matters yet). I can do it in the nvidia tools. You want that screen shot?

 

Disabling HDR removes 1 of the 3 scores it uses to calculate the total score. It'll always be lower.

Edit: BTW, Crysis is still un-playable for me. I can't hear the instructions coming from Prophet over the comm.

 

Lol no problem... the only reason it took me that long is I almost always use fraps... but I forgot you can't use it unless your in a game!!! and then I forgot all print screen does is copy your screen not save the image as well

 

hey quad where do i put the System.cfg you recommended i create? SLI is definately not running as i disabled it and still got the same scores.

 

I'm running it now with my GPU's at stock, non-OC.
