Lol. i guess you need to play with the ram more. it's a start just not a big one. lol.
anyway i'll mess with the ram more on my side and see what's up with it. just try one more setting before you overclock
set the prerender limit to 8 and see what happens. then depending on if it's higher or not you can change it or leave it alone.
also overclocking should get you more then 300 points as it did stock. you will push the gpu's faster giving you a faster score and then then the extra tweaking will do the rest.

but of course with tweak you should break 12k in vantage.

these scores are not right? -

dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
that's overclocked???
-

-
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
oh ok just set it back to 1 then but restart it before you run it overclocked. you've ran a ton of over benchmarks and it's more stable and you'll get better results when there's nothing left in you ram.(for me whitebook this applied not so much my sager. after two runs with my whitebook scores got lower and lower but for my sager it stood the same.)

When running the benchmark you should see Multigpu at the top as well.
Another thing you may want to try while the benchmark is running is hitting Alt enter and see if your framerates change from this You can usally hit it 3 times and one of those is to run the game in a window while the other 2 are full screen sometimes one is outta whack in terms of speed and yours could defaulting to this one. -

i don't know what i did, even with the new tool point out by mandrake i was getting just around 22, but all of sudden it i started to get 30 to 31 fps average on crysis which is what i expected.

ok i understand. i'll pm you with my thoughts.

new 186.24 driver now available at laptopvideo2go. So far i've heard some good comments about this driver, has anyone tried it yet on the M17x? I may give it a shot tonight afterwork.
-
So are there benchmark numbers around?
-
Edit: just to help you out, use the search this thread function and search for "kcissem", "Mandrake", "Clauss" as we were the ones doing most of the testing in this thread. -
I don't mind answering. It's a lot to muck through to find the juicy bits.
Ya gotta dig through the whole thread to find them.
The best benches really should be added to the first post. -

mandrake is 11909 on gpu score for vantage and kcissem is 16690 i believe for 3dmark06
-
he states the current highs and who has it. -
new drivers, 186.24 NO GPU OC.
3dmark06 scored about 400 points higher than i did with dox182.46 with no gpu oc, actually broke 16k with no oc on the gpus
Same thing on vantage stock scores jumped about 300 from the scores i had with dox182.46
Edit: yes i know i forgot to turn off physiX for the vantage run, doesn't affect the gpu score anyways. -
Go for 17K!
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
it seems your fine now. i had a big list of test for you also.
now push them. -
i will try a run at 650|1025|1650 -
score barely improved, it seems as it's not taking the gpu oc now, score only improved by 100 in 06, sm2 scores dropped by 300
-
I just installed the new driver. I was going to see how it did in Vantage and DMC4.
Edit: I'm watching vantage as it goes and the FPS looks the same. -
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
download the new 6.05 one. and make sure you don't have ntune installed.
-
-
I definitely can't OC as high and the scores are not changing.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
then that driver isn't good.
switch back or try a different one. i'll try it meanwhile. -
I think the newer drivers might do better with the gaming benchmarks.

So guys, I have this extra copy of Half life 2 and episode 1... I'm assuming you already have them?
-
my vantage score did improve to 11,3k over stock which is still 300 short of my best but i've yet to try my max core again, but 3dmark06 doesn't change
-
i do think these drivers will end up being around the same in vantage, they just must have issues with 3dmark06 with oc settings as i noticed fps improvements the minmum also lowers so it averages out around the same as stock. Vantage it seems to be a different story. -
yeah these drivers are bad as far as overclocking ability goes, stock setting they are better for me. I really wish i could get the 185.20 drivers to work since i've read so many reports that they are the king of vantage.
-
dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
i'm downloading them and i will try later.
would you like to see how your gpus are doing. maybe it will shine light for everyone(i was going to tell you this when troubleshoot your card.) -

http://redirectingat.com/?id=525X83...eb.id/files/EVGA_Precision_160_esoftwebid.exe
download this and
make sure all your gpu's clocks (the 9400m also)
are showing when you benchmark. this is to see if your overclocking your 9400m or it's sli'ing wrong. also the temps are important to see what's running. -

i have tried to use them but the moddied inf is important. which doesn't support mobile cards. i put the device id in and the other important thing to identify the cards but it still doesn't work(not easy like ati)
if you put the inf form laptopvideo2go it will work but then it will defeat the purpose of using them.
at mandrake then i guess your good. just a nice little tool i found last night.
