Drake im sure you going to be number one for awhile . We shall have to see if the Quads can get as high first of all and secondly until i come to grips with the machine my scores will be way behind .

The Clevo though might pull a lucky rabbit out of its hat and surpass you but after reading over there i dont think that will be happening either for awhile.

Nothing to be mad about, they can easily add as well if they want . They have it in the Pre production machines so clearly its all there just open to the general public yet :).

I told one of the guys over there to beg for the Pre production Bios from one of the members lol , i know if i had that machine i would have done just that including a paypal bribe if need be.

Hey guys im running my M17x with Q9000 and 2 GTX260M SLI all at stock speeds.
Is a 3DMARK06 score of 10838 normal or too low?

I just noticed it says this on the website under my score:

"Please note that this result has been produced using display drivers which have not been validated or approved by Futuremark and will not be visible on default result search on the ORB or on the Hall of Fame."

Doesn't like Dox drivers I guess. If you click on the link for "approved" drivers for my hardware there isn't any. lol.

Nope but wouldn't it make more sense for me to state GPU before the score if I was posted just that?
Without anything stated with the score then it would make more sense that it was the total score.

if someone made a new thread hitting first mobile gpu's to hit 12k in vantage, it may pop on engadget. i have seen it before but don't hold your breath. i think it was with rob41 and sleep0 with the allpowerful picture.

What should really be in it though? We have a lot of info threads already.

BTW is it worth trying to go further in 3DMark06 or do people not care about the benchmark anymore?

We'll some of us care about the 3dmark vantage score.... however I would say a majority of people still consider 06 the main benchmark when they are looking to buy a gaming laptop.... sad really, they just don't understand :nah:

Well for one, gamers and benchers only really care what score your GPUs get so they can compare it to other GPUs (i.e. ATI vs. Nvidia). Without a real competitor for your CPU no one who's serious about gauging performance is going to care what you score on your Intel Monty.

Mandrake's 12002 was just a GPU score and the first mobile to break the 12K mark. By posting your score as just 12024 you're going to confuse people that are too lazy to click your link.

Then there's the whole point that P identifies which settings you ran Vantage on so we know you didn't cheat and run on a lower resolution. ;þ

Lol. i would sell this and get it the for the price but right now(2040), there is no overclocking in the bios and the m17x is to much for me(my setting 2,600).

i have to see how sli scales when i get it. but i was think about the m17 since it has th 4850's but i'm not going threw all that mess i did with my whitebook.

I think a lot of the ATI fans will jump on the M17x when the 4870s are released regardless if they have no plans on getting it right now. It will be too tempting. ;)
