Hey Mandrake, what are the temps of the QX9300 in 3.3ghz? And it is really stable? Can i just let it be with this configs, and will be no prob? Or it is recommended to me stay on 3.06 ?
Sorry for the bad english [2]

I actually run my benchmarks at 3.3Ghz. 3.2Ghz is what I run at all times and that has been rock solid. I haven't checked my temps in a while but I can run a benchmark to double check. It never gets near critical so I stopped checking.

Edit: Have you tried pushing your farther?

Oh, thx. I'm some kind of new in overclocking laptops, so this is why i ask that much. Man, i was just checking the price of the m17x in the USA website and comparing to the brazilian website. Here the price of it maxed out is about 2 times more expensive! Lucky my dad just bought it in USA, or he would be bankrupt!

BigX333 is a popular Brazilian member here and he's having problems getting it because of the price. I guess you just need to know the right people.

    Oh, another brazilian! How nice!
Just a tip to BigX333 in brazilian portuguese, but he would know it:
Cara, o jeito é comprar de fora mesmo, possivelmente com algum parente nos EUA, porque aqui, é um roubo, uma facada! Ele maxed out é 23 mil reais!
... Sorry if brazilian portuguese isn't allowed here. ><

Well... My problem is more related to import it since buying it here never was even an option :D .

M1730 price wasn't much different lol.

yes, cpu are oc too but cpu oc+gpu default works good.
i tryed 640,1000,1593 and higher. occt runs without an error but when i benched crysis or played any frist person shooter, i got slow downs... without oc i got no slow downs.

    Have somebody the same problem?

well look at pman! looking good my man...looking good.

mandrake.... don't feel bad...i broke all the records and titles and stayed on top for about 6 months. and still hold quite a few gaming records still....but do you know...there we're quite a few ati guys saying i was lucky (make that trolling because at the time they wern't beating me)(when i finally started losing i was lucky)this and that....lol...yet it took them almost a year to beat half my records. and almost none of my gaming records, but did lose quite a few AA test (dmc4)....but then...it's all in what you know....

meanwhile you are waiting for me to beat you run some other benchmarks. you have x run which maxes out vantage. and h run and some other runs that you can do.

also run 3dmark06 deflaut at max res.

also run wprime to see how well your cpu is at such a high clock to see if it's worth it.

also can you run 3dmark05 because it is cpu, ram, fsb base just to see how much higher it is.

scook9 has a high score I believe of 4400 with his [email protected] in 06.

    quad has 4800 @3.2ghz

john has 4700 with his [email protected].

It jumps around between 16.8 and 17.5. Vantage was much easier to work with. It was at least consistent.

Sorry haha, I have some semblance of a life on weekends outside of NBR (heresy I know!)

Talked to Dell dude in India on Friday, he said that there is a good chance my order will ship this week despite the 8/24/2009 EDD. If I get it before Saturday I will be so happy it will be ridiculous, going out of town for 10 days Saturday and would love to have that laptop with me.

He also hooked me up with refunded shipping, free next day air, and expedited at factory. He is working on getting my an Orion backpack free or cheap now haha

Long story short, hang in there, I'm on my way!

If it is shipping already, it is too late for the nebula red option. The backpack also may not happen, but on the other hand, you do have one hell of a CSR....

its still in production stage but i just got approved for expediated shipping and production.
yea if nebula red doesnt get in i can return it and have them do the nebula color on the silver chassis, but yea im working on contacting my sales rep for a free or discount orion bag. I did get a targus bag for $49 on ebay lol. My CRYO LX NZXT notebook cooler is coming as well from ebay :)
but would the 4 gig ddr3 with 1033 mhz bottleneck my benchmark?
    didn't mandrake have 4 gig ddr3 with 1333 mhz?

I got my new artic silver 5 from ebay as well, for the oem qx9300 cpu.

He overclocked his ram up to that, he got 1066 in the machine I believe

Don't get carried away with trying to get stuff out of dell, they have already been plenty nice to you, don't try to take advantage of them.

I have both types of memory and I've been using the 1333. The 1066 memory has some questionable latency timings at higher speeds but I don't know yet if it's better or worse for OC'ing. I put the 1066 memory in my machine last night and I was planning on testing it further.
