Please give us some Facts omaryunus. I like to see where you get the facts. Right now it hearsay. That is what the Ture Gamers want is FACTS. Not oh it ture the 9800 is hotter.

We do not want the old he seid she seid info.

Here what it sounding like to me. A TV commercial In the USA It was about some cookies. There was about 50 kids. Each kid tells the next kid about cookies and when it get to the last kid. The last kid says Tommy has his Frist chest hair.

We dont want that. We want FACTS.

Hay Vato_Loco I wanted to pay over time for upgrades. I have two 8600 grapics cards. But I was into upgrading. CPU GPU and such. But your Screen is the same as the highest 8800gtx what slows us down is the GPU

Our gpu are low end if we upgraded to the 8800gtx the game play and such will be better. On the monitor and such.

What are you playing Vato_Loco or what are you doing.

    1 High end gamming
    2 CAD and such.

What are your specs of your computer besides the Grapics card.

Right now I know you get around 6990+ to 7008 in 3dmarks if you have basicly the same setup as I have. Which in the game Lord of the rings that would be 30 to 60fps. Depending on the area Bree lags really bad.

Best idea is check on http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=268457

Which is other M17X laptops some with 8600 8700 and 8800 which might give you more facts then what we see here.

    What gets me is this
Is there a problem of your screen? I can understand when you are high end game the screen might flicker frame per second slow down so you can see each frame.

If your not a gamers The extra ram might help in basic software. 2gb to 4gb might help due to vista uses 700mb of ram. Your grapics cards should be fine.

That could be the 17" WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD with Clearview Technology. Alot of people dont like it due to the fact in light is not so good. You see reflection. The way I set mine up is I dont have light behind of me. It is infront of me.

The older laptops dont have this problem.

no, she's got an old one, probably 2006. although maybe i'm a bit prejudiced because my screen is 15.4". still, i've heard nought but praise for the m15x and m17x screens... strange that yours would be bad.

well i have the 2006 macbook and the screen on my m17x is MUCH better and my m17x is just as good as my brand new samsung 22inch monitor idk what to tell you VAto_Loco but i love my scren adn even the blu ray disc that play on it show really sharp and nice :D...

well about what i said about 9800 GT being the same as the 8800GTX it pretty much is imo (happy?) it has the same number of everything i do not believe that the power consumption is correct since the 9800GT is smaller size and well from what i have seen from the desktop version of the same switch smaller the lesser heat and more power (8800GTX vs. 8800GT) facts wise i have not seen any proper reviews of the 9800GT to show you but you can go compare the processing cores and the amount of gigaflops on each card and they are the same from what i have heard from other forums that they are the same because of the reason i gave you but nothing is for sure until we get to see benchmarks

well i think the 08 macbook as an LED backlit screen, so colors would be much more vibrant. maybe that's why it looks better?

    there are 3 ways usually

1 call customer service to see if they can tell you.

2 if they cant then install some software that will try to tell you what monitor you have. if the software doesnt work its robably because the info isnt in your registry.

3 take the lcd apart and look for the sticker that has the model number.

Vata_Loco - if you post a link to FileHippo or some other file hosting site, that'd be okay, but we don't allow links to torrent sites like the Pirate Bay because those sites have a lot of illegal hosted content.
