R2 chassis is the same as R1. All the screws in the R2's are in the same place as the R1's , Both R1 and R2 use 2 connectors only(Large top left and Small top right). The R2's LCD connector looks identical to the R1s.

Witcher said he took about 20 times apart , and so did I.

As Sleepy has mentioned, only a test can verify the myth. :)

If anyone want to send me an R1 to test to see if it fits, or an R1 LCD to test in the R2, I can test it. :)

    The PSU is different IMO

The mobo should fit but usually there is always some tab somewhere.

It would just be best to sell and then buy a R-2 but i am eager to see. I have owned both and they appear the same but doesn't mean squat,

Also you need a new CPU heat sink ;)

Will do then, my R2 is in production right now, but it probably wont be here for another week or two. I will throw the 260's in there for a quick test to see whats up.

Man I need to go to bed, 3am here and I have to be up at 7:45am for work.

for you its a simple swap

For me its taking apart the M15x and then my M17x. Then remove the heat sinks and repaste. Then put it in and test for 1 minute. Then take it back out repaste and put back together ...

Alot of paste and time :/

you also better hope it works since dell wont take it back and you cant sell it for that much ;)

So whenever you sell yours then buy mine ,.... yea

If i were you i would just sell and buy since you have no plan B. If it doesn;t work for any reason your tuck with a 1500$ mobo
