That touch pad is almost identical to the XPS Gen2/1710/9400 were. The way you remove it that is .

 

Yikes, all that to get to the fan? I guess it won't be getting cleaned very often. Good luck man, I hope it's a quick and easy fix.

 

CPU fan is 10000000x easier to get to.

 

mind if i ask whats the bottle of milk doing ontop of the box ???

 

Because Moo is a cow and cows make milk. I actually found it rather funny but i guess it went over everyones head.

 

Actually, I suppose to clean the GPU fan it would probably be sufficient to just blow air from the bottom and not access it to this extent anyway.

Moo you should make a thread on which diagnostic tests to run when first turning on your system (to make sure nothing's wrong).

Oh my...I feel sorry for you.

Sometime it's just a little plastic or small cable which is obsrtucting the fan. When the fan is starting it doesn't have enough force to go. Did you try air can from the opening?

Anyway, you planned to make a really deep review and tutorial. So it doesn't really change anything, you would have take appart the whole system (positive thinking).

Everything you need to diagnose your system can be found on your resource cd by booting to it (or you could always hit F12 and choose diagnostics). There are several tests, but custom allows you to test every component on the system (excluding GPU fans and memory for some reason).

Lol Moo it isn't like all of us have HD camcorders.. mine is probably worse than yours... We spend our money on better things... like an M17x!

 

Lol i use my Iphone for pics haha i have no interest in photography , when i need a really good pic ill just ask my friend whos spends a small fortune on that stuff lol and its just his hobby.

 

I do have a really good camera... just not a really good video camera

 

The iphone makes a great camera/camcorder. The quality may not be as good but it's so convenient to have it with you all the time.

I have two DSLR which don't record video and a Panasonic FZ-20 which still an awesome cam but record video only at 320x240... Some guys in brazil asked for a unboxing when i get mine... At this resolution it gonna be really ODD

 

Yeah i love my Iphone and have taken some pretty good pictures with actually but all outdoor stuff , indoor i have had no success whatsoever.
