Does anyone have info according to the battery.
(I couldn't find thread referring to this problem)

I ordered my alienware M17x last august, but the kept delaying my laptop, for more than 6 weeks in a row, so my alienware was delivered at the end of october, too late for me. I had to go for my study to Europe (october 2nd, I'm staying 3 months, (Europe is awesome btw). So my father sent me the laptop.
My problem: the M17x won't start/boot without the ac-power plugged in. I can only boot the M17x with the ac power plugged in, when I unplug the cable, while my laptop is running, it shuts down immediatly. What is going on? It's hard for me to call during the week to the alienware support, because of the costs, calling from europe to the usa is pretty expensive with my iphone.
When I click on the battery/plug icon in the lower right corner it says 99% available (plugged in, charging). It keeps saying this, for more than 4 weeks right now.
Does anyone now how I can solve this problem, and how to run my M17x without plugging it in all the time ???

Scook has a similar issue and he's getting his system board replaced.

Try unplugging the AC and battery then hold down the power button for 20 seconds. Plug everything back in and try it again. GL!

Your suggestion didn't work. I'll contact Alienware next weekend. Hopefully it's the battery that's broken instead of having my systen board replaced.
(I'm in europe you know for my study, maybe I have to contact the local Dell office). Thanks for your help.
