No of course not... I could never single out one sepcific race, that would make me ignorant. I simply hate everyone...

LOL! I better make sure you know thats a joke as well... how about a "ha ha?"

Anyways... ya, I cant wait man... I have a Dell XPS desktop with the 2.80ghz core 2 duo and a 256mb 8600GT Nividia with 3g of ram... I like it alot, but I simply cant wait to go mobile with the Alienware. Plus Ive really been needing it at work. I work in radio so haviong something mobile is a real benefit.

5 days or so... cant wait...

Yeah I got it lol. I don't know what to say

So far it is nothing less than perfect. I played Team Fortress 2 for 5 hours and Counter Strike Source for 2, that is 7 hours in a row on 1024x768 everything to max and the GPU's temp didn't go above 76 deg C I was getting between 80 to 140 fps in tf2 and 100 to 180fps in counter strike depending on the server. I got 280fps in counter strike stress test.

I have no keyboard delays and it feels just like a mac keyboard. No Cracks. No Dead Pixels. It feels very solid. Touch Controls need to be held for a second or two in order to respond from the first touch. Speakers are loud enough for me. So far it is perfect and I love it!!!!!

    Here are some pics

    You have the 8800?

If so why are you playing at such a low res?

Yeah I have an 8800, I don't see any big difference between 1024x768 and 1440x900 in gaming. I just kept it on default

Should be a noticeable difference, 1440x900 is wide screen 1024x768 is a standard res.

go on mag your 8800 can max out EVERYTHING and still go nuts on the FPS on Source games :)
I average 142fps on lost coast stress test @ 1920x1200 8xaa and 16xaf plus everything max.
    amazing.........truly amazing
just playing UT3 that looks sooooo nice.

    will be getting crysis later

I will probably burst out laughing as well... but more or less kind of like Mark Hamill voicing the Joker's laugh... then I will begin to get angry... and you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. Skin turns all pastey green, I start drooling and I swell up a bit... not a pretty sight.

Thanks for your optimisim though :/

Thats awesome my friend! Just what I wanted to hear! Great pics too man, I'll be posting all my stuff as well! Can't wait.. keep me posted dude!

What kind of specifications and accessories did you get?

I was going to order the M15x too but with all the problems they are having I opted for the XPS M1730 which should arrive on the 28th of March 2008, I don't want a $4000 laptop full of problems.

meh, I have owned plenty of Dells though... I'm not a huge fan of their internal components. Not that they ar bad PC's... I just don't prefer them.

Plus, to get the exact PC from dell... excluding some of the feature the m15x has... you end up spending more money.

I dont know man... I'm worried, I won't lie... but if everythnig works out accordingly... then I have an uber pc, lol

Hopefully now AW have admitted to problems and are working to correct it, all should be well. I spoke to a rep down here in Oz and he said that they are working on a "software problem directly related to the 8800GTX heating problems..." Doesn't know when it will be ready, but they are working on it. Unfortunately for me, i need a laptop now. Gotta hand back my trusty (if slightly crappy) Dell D610 to work, as i start a new job :D So i had to accept their proposal of putting in a 8700 GPU until they get the problems fixed with the 8800GTX's. Then send it back, get it fixed and tested, then sent back, hopefully taking 3 days... :( But its better than nothing at the moment.Might try to get the to throw in Crysis free for the inconvenience....

Basically I wanted to see your configuration to see whether you had any backordered parts or not. It doesn't say anything on Alienware's site about the screens being out of stock. If you had gotten the smart bay battery, that would do it.

Just hang in there, it's worth the wait. :)

gpzach ordered from Euro Alienware, they have everything on backorder here. Screen, AC adaptor, some of the processors etc. Also the info they usually put up on .co.uk site is not the real situation of the stock, you need to call and convince a customer support guy to give you the info. Their last estimate was somewhere in beginning of April (for the people that ordered on 4th-5th of February) but hopefully they were smart enough to order enough to build all the demand. They already have had many cancelations due to horrible CS and communication with the customer (no emails no status or anything else).

Glad to see you guys so excited...as am I. I ordered mine on 2/25, and online it still says that I am in phase 2....garbage. I called today and they said that I am in phase 3 and that it should still ship the 25th of march. (I cancel the smart bay battery and extended my warrenty to 3 years).

I am also stoked that alienware found the overheating problem and are close to finding a solution, that really makes me a bit more confident.

So far the only problems I have with alienware is not notifying me about anything, and not updating their site, it gets really annoying to have to call every other day because the dang order status wont update.

Wierd question....anyone play totalwar yet with maxed out settings on 15x???
