Imagine the CS on the phone if it broke.
"So what's the problem with your m17x sir?"
"Eh, i removed one of the graphic cards to see if it woulf still work"
"Sorry Sir, this is not part of your warranty"
    "*$!@?~*&^$£~$*#%!"
    "Thank you sir, goodbye"

    LOL

I love my Sager. The appearance has really grown on me, and i like it more than the m17x...just because the m17x is so thick all the way through. I think my old m15x was cooler looking than this thing, but its performance couldn't touch this (see specs in sig), and the m15x is plagued with problems =/

I hope that we see a relatively problem-free product in the m17x...maybe it took so long to come out cause they were working out some kinks? Anyway, I'm not bashing AW, or loving it for that matter...just interested in what we're gonna see out of their new laptop

When chaz reviewed the sager np9262, he was able to play it very well with the SLI 8800s. It's likely that the m17x will handle it equally well with dual 8800s...anything short of that and crysis reigns more or less supreme

Fair enough, it was just because they deactivated them on the m15x

seems a bit silly for me :/ not a deal-breaker if I have the cash though

Thank you, that's good to know. I don't like thinking I asked a dumb question or everyone hates me lol.

Honestly if it didnt id buy a desktop instead and build my own. Whats the point if you cant play todays games maxed (I understand its tomorrows game but it wasnt brought here in a time machine lol) It wont hold up for long when game's are devoloped from the same engine..

To those wanting more pics with different colors, I'll work on it. I'll also find some other things to compare its size with.

For me it was actually bigger then expected, it didn't fit in the book bag I bought a while ago for school that had what I would have thought to be a massive laptop slot (I knew in advance I'd be getting a lappy for grad). I had to go buy a new case. The m17x just barely fits, and I cant put anymore then the laptop and the power brick in it. If I did the flap starts popping open :\

My experience with it so far has been great! The only real game I have is WoW, but even that was better. I was used to playing on a 7 year old desktop at minimum graphics, and still lagging. This thing beasts its way through max settings at highest resolutions. It does drop a frame here and there, which is noticeable. I plan on upgrading to 2 gigs of ram. That should fix that minor problem easy.

Today I unplugged it, put it in stealth mode, and put the power options to power saving. I didnt have any game or program running, and it gave an estimate of around 2 hours of battery life.

For all out for 4 man, it's like sub-100 for 4 gig. Then you'll really notice a difference. :)

I would do that but... The vista home version it comes with is 32 bit. Correct if I'm wrong but doesnt it take the 64 bit to even access that much ram?

If you have 4 it'll give you just over 3, if you have 3 you get less than that plus have a speed decrease due to not having matched pairs

32-bit Vista will utilize 3-3.5 of your 4gb, which is still better than 2.

Yeah. Dunno if anyone already mentioned it, but the most cost-effective upgrade would be a 2GB single stick if you're just gonna stick to 32bit.

also, nice pics mennenth. Always like to see these machines in the flesh (well, as "flesh" as they'll get for me :D)

Isn't there a speed boost from a matched pair? Personally I'd go with 4GB anyway, I'd rather have 3.5 than 2 any day...

@Sasuke_Crused: With Stealth Mode activated and the battery put to power saving, it lasts around 2 hours.
