Well this is kinda neat. A little harder to customize but a much more interesting interface

Edit: Importing older themes will not work, and I can't get any new themes to work either. It says "the device was not found"...Durn it

just installed it , weird issue at login screen , I can see the aliensenses interface where your face appear during face recognition but all the background is a white screen , someone else with this issue?

EDIT: actually I don't know if it's on purpose or not but thanks to the white background it detects my face even with bad lightning xD

I'm liking the new interface. It does seem to require 2 restarts of the computer even though it only tells you to restart it once. After the first restart, when you launch the CC, it flashed up an updating splash screen. After it finished, the new interface was displayed but it gave me a device not found error and asked me if I wanted to delete it from the profile. I clicked on NO. Whenever I tried to make any changes to the themes or even individual sections, the display would update but the actual lights would not. So I did another restart and now everything seems to be working good.

Okay I got it downloaded, installed and up and running. And for some reason it disabled windows aero. I can't figure out how to force it to load. I don't even have the option to load an Aero theme anymore. It's gone.

Wahoo, this update returned the FX that was shipped on my laptop. When the tech switched out my mobo and bluetooth cards (bad CC on resource disk) he installed the old CC and the screen most of you are accustomed to..
Seems I had to reboot twice for the install to be completely finished, but issue free now. -hubs-

Works great, however it does reenable the Alienwarefx under startup in msconfig. This added a continuous 12 percent load to my processor at all times. I unchecked it again and I am back to a blissful 0-2 percent. :)

Sorry, when I installed the previous driver for cc it caused my fusion app to stop working unexpectedly. When I woud click on the app to start it would only show the saucer and nothing else thats why I am curious if the new driver fixes the fusion app. Question: can anyone tell me how to get my fusion app to work, I have Bios A03 and latest cc drivers before today? I was thinking that the problem lies in the previous driver but am unsure? I would greatly appreciate any advice or troubleshooting, thanks in advance!

If you install the previous version of cc then you had brick your alienfx and the only way to fix it is to have your motherboard replace. Does any of the light still light up?

Anyone able to post a screen of what it used to look like?

I'm getting an error when trying to add Events:

    @ dttran83

nvm I just installed the latest cc update driver and it fixed my fusion app woohoo! I'm a happy camper now, nv beta driver, and cc update driver all in one day. This is too much! Even though none of us should have had to go through this just to have a properly running system. lovin the new interface though, really cool features too. This is what I paid 4k for! Now to make sure nothin else goes wrong.

That great but from now on if you have to do a fresh install remember to go to dell website and download all the driver from there. Especially your CC if you install the older version from your resource disc you will brick your alienfx. The only way to fix that is a mobo replacement.

Well, I must say the Dell 1520 driver update was a significant improvement. Finally getting speeds that my other laptop intel cards were pulling. Still wishing I had bought the intel card for my m17x, but at least I'm now getting twice the download speed I was getting on the previous 1520 driver. :)

Pretty nice Command Center as long as you don't try to add events. The new features are rather nice.
This A06 version of Command Center also fixes the issue with the Alienhead LEDs not working on cold boot until AlienFX is loaded on the M17x-R2 (in conjunction with the A05 BIOS), by the way.

It's too bad that the optional color morph effect only morphs one way and then jumps to the starting color instead of morphing from one color to the other, and back in reverse. Doesn't look too good at the moment.
Adding events crashes the thing for whatever reason. Pretty buggy. But if you don't use advanced mode, it's fine.

I agree, they should do a smooth morph back to the original color. Also an optional speed of morph setting should be available. I would actually use the feature if they implemented either of these ideas...as of right now morph is kinda broken.

If you recently received a new computer it will most likely have the new command center on it. That is why some of you havent noticed a change. I noticed this version on the ALX systems for a month or so now. One of the changes is with the color selection. Instead of two rows of color squares at the bottom for the FX the new one is in a circular pattern... I will upgrade tonight when i get home. I still get the FX controller has stopped responding upon boot with the 05 version. Hope this resolves it.. As for the HDD lights on cold boot, well mine still didnt work after latest bios update then 3 days ago i powered on my system and all FX lights were all set to white... I was like What the heck... At first I thought it was broken... Upon CC loading all colors were restored to my theme.. From that moment on, my HDD lights/power switch have worked upon cold boot now..

Here's how you can fix that:

Create your morph, say Red -> Blue as the first option.
Then add a second one and simply morph Blue -> Red.

That's it and how I get a nice morph effect on the Alienware Logo when I get a new email.

Since I updated to the latest version (clean install) the lights do not work for me anymore. They do not turn off/on. Already tried powering off and on, several times, without any luck.

Try taking out the batt and holding the power button down for 20 seconds and see if that clears it up if you haven't already.

I tried that several times, but phew, the 4th or maybe 5th time, it ended up working as it should, or at least I hope. The first time I tried the power button trick, i turned onthe laptop but the lights went on only abouy 20-30 seconds. I was kinda scared not to have broken it. Service time totally sucks here.

So after the 4th power button trick, the lights started working again, they were turning off, turning on but when I selected the dim lights option, baaaaam system froze. Something like, half the screen blue-ish, half the screen was flickering blue-black.

Again the power trick and now it's all working, even the dim lights option. Didn't try the dim lights when on battery option yet.

I will keep you posted if anything goes bananas again.

Works fine on my 17xR1. If you run into an error when attempting to add custom apps/lighting behavior for an app, try performing a clean install of CC (uninstall via Programs & Features, boot into safe mode and run CCleaner Registry, restart normally and then install CC).

    No issues here.

No problems here. I did do a clean install though. I always do the BatBoy clean install when dealing with CC :)
