    wow triple post...

If only they could get a clue and use some good stuff. Although maybe part of the issue is them wanting to buy it in quantities they can load into their robo gunk guns. That would limit what types of stuff they can use. Also who knows what sort of quote you get for real vs toothpaste. They portability get the toothpaste for free as some sort of industrial waste gunk from another industry.

I think it is done like this because it is easy to apply and less chance for errors. Even though it lowers the quality overall.

Well, checked this morning and he hit 4.48 GHz... Will be a jackpot if he can push 4.8

Yes, Kryonaut is very good. I think it is better than Gelid. I don't know how durable it is compared to IC Diamond. Based on how it is thinner and creamier, I suspect it is less durable than IC Diamond due to the potential for pump-out. I have used Kryonaut with excellent results, but not for enough time to observe long-term durability.

Thanks for the compliment on the youtube thing.

Different mounts and cables. You have to source all those parts.

I tried it for the aw15r2. I could source all except for the screenmount itself. The screw holes are on the side instead of bottom and top with the UHD panels.

    Hey guys,

I'm looking at buying a lcd off this site www.elecok.com. Anyone bought one off this site before? Just when your searching the net for lcd panels there's a lot of dodgy looking sites.

After seeing how much better the newer cards perform over the 980m... I've decided I now want this. And the new look has grown on me, I didn't realize the logo was new, makes the system look more sophisticated by that alone.

But I'm contemplating if I should wait for the 1080 or get 1070 with the discount they're doing.

How much more do you guys think 1080 will be over 1070? $300? $600? If it's around the $600 range ($900 from stock 1060) I'll prob just go with the 1070.

EDIT: Found that you can configure the origins system that have 1080. They have it for +450 over 1070. Hopefully AW 17 is around the same.

On Clevos the mount is the same, just need the 40 pin eDP cable. Do Alienwares need non standard mounts depending on the panel?

Yeah there is a metal bracket that converts the mounting holes.

Depends on the system. There have been enough 15R3(s) to be concerned of its thermals.
Guess as more people get them we shall find out.

more than $300 for gtx1080 is not necessary best spending unless you wish most powerful system. 1080 still cant pull heavy titles 4K on ultra over 60fps steady, but for FHD its overkill.

1080 is approx 25% faster than the 1080, not mentioning GDDR5X has faster bandwidth and runs cooler

30-60 fps is perfectly playable for me. I don't really need 60+ fps on games.

one should not expect understanding from big companies. Frank Azor & co are too busy to bother with QC.

The 1080 does fine at 4K. I have one in my desktop and have no issue playing any games. Most of the benchmarks i saw for 4K are less than they should be because there running the game maxed out. There no reason to be running AA and ultra shadows in 4K. Look at any of those benchmarks, add 10fps and that what you will really be seeing with realistic settings.

@iunlock yeah, that's always my question for these lofty 45w CPU OC's, I don't see any benefit beyond 4.0ghz for every day use, and for steady throughput it can be less.

Except for the short life of a benchmark, what's the use of such high OC's?

What do you think is a good day to day 6820HK clock rate? All 4 cores the same, or what mix works best for per core settings?
