    yup run it and upload it and them update to 185.85 dox and it should improve it. if you need help tweaking your OS/gpu's let us know.

    well, I am going to install Win7 tomorrow. I can't take Vista anymore now that I have 7 installed on my desktop. I will do all the driver tweaking tomorrow after I install 7.

    I'm guessing 3DMark06 scores between 14,000 and 15,000.

    Where we'll see big numbers will be in Vantage and in frames per second during gaming and high resolution.

    I thought Nvidia GPUs show their true power with in game benchmarks. Wouldn't that give us a good indication of the M17x's power?

    it should hit 16,000 with the cpu @3.06 with Os tweaking and new drivers.


    right now he just started windows, so superfetch, indexing, and something else is thrashing you hdd and you cpu at the moment.


    also take a screenshot of it. it will disappear in 24hours unless your registered.

    gotta beat this score. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=10449755 from my M17/OCZ i did get higher with ocd video cards. but i consider this the max without gpu oc and at 3dm06 standard res. i bet those cards can get 17k if tweaked right. If not higher.

    that 185.85 hybrid driver is not working. It gives me a screen that looks like I am on an acid trip (not that I would know ;) )

    Only HybridPower is supported. Nothing would be gained from GeForceBoost because of the speed difference between the 9400M and the GTX 280M.

    edit: i just read it. it basically turns off the 280m vandit has and runs the 9400 when he is doing regular task and/or on the battery to save power. and flips back to the 280m's when gaming or doing something that demands the gpu.

    It's a separate GPU which uses much less power so as to improve battery life while having the 260M's/280M's powered down.

    and for some reason the link Don posted to the 185 drivers, choosing the hybrid/sli option wouldn't work. Trying to install just the standard SLI 185 driver.

    Verdict- still messed up screen. Hmmm. SOmething is funky here
