I think we're good now (at least as far as the vid cards are concerned) although I'm going back to my SSD w/Vista. I may try doing it in Vista but not today.

Did you have coprocessor listed under Device Manager after the Win7 install Mandrake?

Should compare the Device Manager on your Win7 HDD with the Device Manager on your Vista SSD and try to ID what that coprocessor is.

It's the SMU. Force the nvidia chipset drivers to install it.

I tried that. Whatever it is the drivers on the resource DVD isn't fixing it.

Hey if you havent deleted the dell folder on your C: just go to device manager and right click on the coprocessor and select update driver software. Use the browse option and click let me pick at the bottom then do have disk and browse to C:\dell\R219087\SMU\smuc64.inf and use the nForce option that comes up there.

does anyone else have the problem where your 280s in sli disappear after running on battery power, and then when you reconnect to power, reboot vista and your 280s aren't showing in the device manager? It gets turned off in bios. How can an OS turn off the hybrid function in bios anyway??

it seems your cpu may not get getting enough voltage. did you undervolt......

    to diangones.

run stcok everything and see what happens.

    reset everything in the bios.

try the game. if it works then your overclock maybe to high.

    if not then run

prime95 and see if your cpu is ok.

run occt and see what's up with your component.

run memtrst to make s sure your ram is good.

and I can't think of a hard drive one.

either those or a currort driver.
