New Notebook Teaser from Alienware, New Notebooks Coming Very Soon?

I'm sure they'll announce whatever the new product is by the end of July. I doubt that they'll start shipping them until at least the end of August, so just wait to see what Breed leads to. If it's too long of a wait for their new product, go order a m15x. You have 30 days to get a full refund after you get it, anyway. So you could return it for the new notebook if you wanted.

 

Good call. Again, i just wish I had more time. I really am an AW loyalist and would love to get one of their machines for university, but at the moment I dont see A) why I should pay an extra 700 bucks for an inferior machine B) buy an outdated laptop to game on

Pretty stupid. But I guess while I wait for.... whatever Bre3d is... I could just save up more money. I am about ready to strangle AW right now for keeping me in suspense like this...

Edit: and they had better announce whatever release they will be making by end of month. Just think of their loss of sales they are experiencing right now! I will tell them AW guys straight up that if they put out a decent 15 inch lappy it will be a success. You have your first buyer right here...

 

WTF...? Yesterday when you clicked on email alerts for Breed, it said

"Be the first to get the latest information from Breed. Learn about:

Today, they took out the last part. We already caught on, Alienware. Did they really have to remove that?

 

I think I figured out what part (or all, hopefully not all...) of it is. Check out Alienware-James's post on this forum and another notebook forum, let's see if anyone else can figure out.

That's an old reply from him, plus it was from a different forum. With the bad reputation Alienware caused for the m15x, I'm sure that they'll rename the new notebook if it's a new 15", it'll be a new platform either way

But the "Alienware Breed" thing could just be a gaming clan for Alienware owners.

i looked at that too - not to sound rude, but they sponser a team before they offer a black updated 15x - pffffft.

but then again...to be sponsered by AW....if i was only female and pretty...

and yes they did say those things - kinda bizarre they no longer have those links or wording....makes one wonder.

 

I'm sure that they still have something coming. Why would they spend so much time and money on Breed if it wasn't for a new product?

 

I'm hoping that it's the m15 & m17x's with Montevina platform. Not that it makes a real difference to gaming and to be honest with the m17x, battery life is irrelevent too really but, cooler running and DDR3 would be cool...

I'm betting that IF it's a new notebook release, it will be slightly different, to change/update the existing m15 and m17x range would cause worldwide outcry with people demanding upgrades for free etc. And, to be honest totally understandable really.

Maybe it's something to compete with the Envy. Maybe a 15" or 13". I guess time will tell.

Well... I've watched the "movie" and I can only say... a handful of dust to close people's eyes. But, that's just my opinion.

 

Its some thing only in regard to the M15x... and Area 51 desktops...

my guess

new colors (black mabye others i hope Green and Blue)
new GPUs (9800 GT 9800 GTS... mabye 9800 GTX mabye not)

still SR platform.

its a refresh of the m15x options basicaly.

and in regard to the Area 51 desktops.. mabye a new case design? current one is old.

im 99% sure with 0 sources its a no brainier really


ALienware want to spice up there most popular laptop now VoodooPC is about to show off its 15 and 17inch gaming notebooks.. (that have heaps of color options /carbon fiber prob and will only have 9series GPUs)


i would advise people to wait for this refresh.. a 9800 GT or 9800 GTS could blow the 8800 GTX out of the water in features and heat.
+ if you have been waiting for colors i would def wait n see..

If I might play the devil's advocate here for a moment:

If I were AW right now I would be really worried about my recent loss of sales (and everyone talking about it openly on forums such as...) and would want to quell it a.s.a.p. So, I would probably release a new campaign... in order to get people to stop buying the competitions products whilst I redesign my own products. To me at least, it seems like AW might just be tired of getting their A$$ kicked around the house by the new clevo in the 15 inch gamer race, so they are buying some time.

Any information we have right now is purely speculative, of course, and as such I would encourage people to not take this forums ideas as facts until AW does release some info. That is not to say that one cannot talk about why Breed is being launched, merely my reminder to not get your hopes up people...

That's completely wrong. I have a 3 year old HP laptop with an integrated graphics card and I can own my friend in CounterStrike: Source who has a brand new Compal with an 8600M GT. Sure, having a good system helps a lot, but if you suck at a game throwing more hardware at you is only going to make it more pathetic when you lose.

I hope AW can make something significative to change their image...
I mean, I hope people will remain reasonable enough and will be able to distinguish between what seems to be clearly an image/marketing strategy from any true intention of fixing anything.

I really wished I could believe there is a revision on the way... But all the flashy colours and webpages just show where they are burning their money... IMAGE and marketing! Please... do not let yourselves be alienated by these propaganda strategies. Please, don't be naive and use your inteligence and be a bit "critic".

 

The revision is called: new laptop line and just forget the m15x.

guys you are dreaming if you think that AW is comming out with a new notebook model. The have 3 models and they do not care to offer more models. They have a 15" and a 17" models excluding the old m9750 (wich will come out of the business as soon as AW runs out of stock). As a company I do not see any point to have more high end laptops.

Take a look @ DELL they have a single high end 17" model (m1730) and nothing more.

Oh yea I forgot about changing my title. I did it after around 1000 posts so I don't have the actual count for you.

 

I think we need to stop looking around the situation and instead look it right in the face. What is the video itself showing us? It's clearly incomplete, as it says Part 1, but there are still probably clues that some astute and perceptive individuals may pick up on.

Also, the music is so climactic they are definitely building up to something, and the animation is good enough for it to be something big, important enough for a teaser site. My opinion is it's something new, and it's something in the Alienware mainstream, ie: not some clan.

Then again it could all just be smoke and mirrors, Alienware is just diverting our attention and keeping us on the line, maybe because they simply need more time to update, or WHATEVER I don't pretend to know, the m15x. Or perhaps they will simply put out a series of teasers, since this is episode 1, to keep us from looking elsewhere for weeks at a time. The internet community always over-analyzes everything thrown our way and Alienware surely knows this, this could actually just be nothing, some stupid story about some guy in a cave finding the Alienware technology. (As in "Behind The Origin")

 

as i said, until i see a product in association with this, it shall mean diddly squat and remains just a meaningless pc generated short.
