in the meantime .. don't get me wrong I am totally in love with alienware, first and for most. And don't cut off my head for this... but which companies make anything close to this high a quality laptop? I want to compare $cost$ while they fix this issue.

I'm fairly certain we're gonna know more about the problem tomorrow, but be little closer to a solution. Sure, they'll work on it, but I doubt it's gonna be resolved in the near future. Just look at the M15x and the M17x-R1s.

I called my rep. On the fourth day and hes like "You paid Via EFT it takes 2 to 3 days to clear into there bank" And i was about to write a email saying "Its the fourth day..." I emailed someone who works at dell hoping she might have a answer..

I saw your video mate, It looks like a problem with the drivers or the game copy itself, This flickering in distant objects is nothing compared to the entire screen flickering posted by joker and others. I would consider myself lucky if this is the only problem.

Aside from the amount of RAM and the OS, ill have the same setup as you. Went out and bought a copy of Crysis to use as my test program should my system get here tomorrow. Most likely going to be Thursday though.

I am kind of betting on the notorious unfixed m15x throttling and Dell's lack of a response on this as leverage...

 

Well, my HDD1 cage came in today...with no screws or interposer I called back and they are shipping me a "TRDD2" so I may end up with an extra cage besides.

At least the AW Tech support hold time is close to zero...

contact the better business bureau, you can do it online do it tonight and they will file first thing in the morning then call dell and tell them, mention the throtling point them to the m15x throttling thread and mention that a dell rep has posted on there and that dell knows about the problem and won't issue a fix gauranteed refund i got one that way. google the BBB online you can fill it out online.

 

What config do you have? Also where are those guides?
