I seriously doubt it, in a market where most desktops fail at playing crysis on max settings, don't expect a laptop to do the opposite.

Darkhan, the antenna is not included if you don't purchase the WWAN, just as the configurator states.

Yes, I did not confirm this, I think my question was misunderstood.

    Sorry for the confusion.

nagshead, I'm going to shoot myself for asking this (i prolly dont wanna know) but are these laptops really going to be shipping in March? I mean even if an exact date isnt known, are they just not ready for the next two weeks or so to even start building them?

I guess I ask just to know whether or not to anticipate a possible shipping change to sometime in mid-feb due to the build stage starting sooner than anticipated.

Which is why I want to stick with my Softbank Japan 3G data plan. Cost ranges from $0 if it is not used at all for the month to about $50 USD max depending on usage with unlimited data.

I think it was just as crappy as BF BC1 which I paid 60$ for and regretted after spending 4hours with it. MW2 is the true king of FPS.

King of FPS? Don't make me laugh. I didn't know opinions could be wrong. Way to ignore Battlefield, ARMA, CS, Team Fortress 2, and some console games that I don't want to mention because I don't know the boards general opinion on the platform. No matter. You'll be done with MW2 after CoD 8 comes out. W00T for yearly sequels.

Let's stop this OT debate.

There's no evidence that Gobi supports Softbank... I'm not sure if it would. When I get my M11x, you can send me your SIM and I'll try it out. :p Or you might be able to ask someone at Qualcomm if Gobi supports Softbank.

What phone do you have? There might be some custom tether software out for it.

Look at the bright side, February is the shortest month of the year. I wouldn't want to get your hopes up and say it's coming sooner. It's worth the wait.

I wouldn't. I have an i5 750 with a GTX 275 desktop. I know the m11x won't be anywhere near the performance of that but it is great for mobile gaming if I ever go to a friends house and want to play some games or even at school if I bring my charger with me to plug into the wall.

well i for one am dying to get mine ( haven't ordered it yet waiting till the 17th) but i am confused.
i understand that you can overclock from 1.3 to 1.6 by simply turning on the overclocking feature, but can you overclock further? because at the rate of 300MHz to 1C wouldn't be epic to turn it up to 1.9 or 2.2 and only going up 2c - 5c? :D

Hey Dark, my question keeps getting lost in the speed of the thread but here goes again:

You said that the color is "gunmetal" so is it darker than the lunar silver on the M15x and on the M17x?

again, thanks a ton for all the helpful insider info you've fed us.

I just purchased a Dell SP2309W which CNet rated as the 3rd best 22-24" gaming monitor. #1 costs 700$, #2 costs 500$ and the SP2309W I purchased from the Dell Ebay clearance store for 200$ 2 weeks ago. It has 2ms response time, web cam, 4 usb ports, etc.

No one knows because no one has one to test with. It's very hard to guess what settings will be needed on a laptop that hasn't been released.

I don't like to speculate but I think it's safe to say that the m11x will run any game at least at it's full resolution (1366x768) on either medium or high settings at an average of 30 fps for the foreseeable future. Then when you realize that estimate's for 1.3ghz clock speed and you're given an overclock option you see why the m11x is arguably the best laptop available on the market, especially when you weigh all of it's other positives.

I can't even imagine this thing having a downside that isn't arguably a positive tradeoff (i.e.: not a gtx 260m but better battery life, small form factor, switchable graphics instead) (i.e.: not amazing resolution but do they even make lcd panels with higher resolution at 11"?, and this is supposed to be an amazing looking lcd too)
