I think it's funny how all you guys actually believe the status reports on Dell's website or from your reps.
-
-
I DO believe the phone system.
It has ALWAYS been accurate for me, at least. -
The old phone order status system you mean, not the new phone order status system.
-
Yes, the old one
-
the old one that is pissin you off???
-
I'm frustrated about the fact i that i coudn't persolized the name plate in canada and there were no discounts + overpriced in canada you Americans should feel HAPPY with what you have even a delayed order tbh.
Anyway ,I saw that the nameplate is screwed in with the system so I hope at a later time I can order a separate nameplate and screw it in myself, there were ENOUGH unfair to those customers whom are not American. For me maybe this is the first + last purchase with Dell. -
order through a friend or family member in the U.S.
problem solved -
Yeah - THAT ONE!! lol
-
I wish its just as easy as you said
-
I'm waiting for someone to get this response from customer support:
" Every time you call to discuss the status of your build, even though it's nowhere near the "expected ship date", it costs our company money. Money that is ultimately passed on to the customer. Please be patient, we will notify you as soon as your order is ready to ship."
Just a thought.
-
man i wish this laptop would hurry up and ship, but i can wait for perfection!
i ordered on June 2nd around 8:00 and i am in the bulid stage.
M17x
Space Black
Q9000
SLI 280m GTX
4gb 1333
Blue Ray Drive
i am just wating on it -
Nope - no email like that. I did get a couple of phone calls from Dell that ring once and then hang up. Damn crank calling Customer Service people! (jk).
They can't both be right - they contradict each other.
Did you order by phone? If you did then you will probably get it next week. If you ordered on the web site then you are in the same boat as me. Ordered first day and won't see it till near the end of June. -
i did the online i thought it would been easier
-
Me too.
Surprise!
Just sit tight and try to be happy for the people who ordered by phone. They should be getting their notebooks by the end of next week. -
I was thinking of an 860ETU....
Anyone have any good/bad comments with this clevo? -
WOW, I didn't know what an 860ETU clevo was so I googled "860ETU". The first link was directly back here to your forum question!
-
Megacharge Custom User Title
There were some people who said the hard drive ran a little hot on that model, but that was the worst thing I ever heard of that model, and the hard drive heat did not adversely effect anyone in a bad way, and Clevo is well known for making extremely solid systems with very good cooling solutions their laptops rarely ever fail. -
yes the m860etu is a great 15 inch
-
My nephew ordered his m17x yesterday and his rep told him that he would get a free upgrade to Windows 7.
-
Hey Sleeyo, I think the turnaround time on the M860 is about two weeks. When I inquired about it that is what I was told. They had a huge queue/backlog. I don't know if that has changed, but I wanted to give you the heads up.
Called a bit ago, and guess what..... still in build
. I will just call every few days instead of every day. Hoping to hear that wonderful boxing word. We are all getting there, don't give up now, unfortunately its one slow day at a time.
-
Thats great! He is lucky to have found someone who actually has an answer regarding Windows 7. My rep just keeps on sending me links to websites saying it "is up to the manufacturer to determine". He has no further information beyond that.
-
Ordered mine 6/8. ETA-7/13. Currently In-Production.
-
Thanks for the update...and welcome to NBR! I know I am a few posts late.
-
Lol Thanks and no big deal=P Im just rdy to get this beast home!!!!

Totally man! Funny how the US and Canada units are probably being made in the same area. -
I just called the dell number and I am officially in the Boxing Stage !!!!
Hopefully sleey and everyone else will get theirs too -
Well, mine is still in pre-production, because it is missing one crucial component. Could it be the black casing?
I don't know they couldn't tell me.
Btw, mine was ordered on June 3rd.
And my EDD is still July 15th!
-
When did you order? Where do you live?
-
Hi, everyone. I ordered mine online on 7 June. Went into production on 8 June. Delivery date is 8 July. Currently in build stage. I will post again when it goes into boxing stage.
-
Day 2 of the boxing stage, no change yet. I'll see if it changes tomorrow. I'm still hoping for a tracking number by Monday.
-
From which country did you order it from?
Are you in fase 2 or already in fase 3? -
I'm from Mass., USA. Dont know about phase. Only says build stage. (Thanks sleey0)
-
lol@U
Scroll down under Notebook Manufacturers and you'll find the Clevo thread. The new 18" system looks nice but just not the same thing. I would have considered it if the M17x wasn't released. -
I hoping for a nice surprise that the coupon will already in the box when we get it.
-
Mine just changed as of this morning to the boxing stage.
Ordered 6/5 9:30am EDD 7/10 orginally. Was in build yesterday.
Ordered over the phone EPP -
Also from the USA I guess?
-
You ordered 3 days after me with an EDD 4 days after me and mine is still in build
-
Hi, people.
I want to know so bad if I can change or edit my order
Like,I ordered Silver. And I just realized that, the black one is way better. I want to change!
Is that possible?
Other than callin' them. Cause I don't live in the states. -
Yes USA East coast
-
If your order is already in production, it's too late. But the Silver case is awesome too.
http://support.dell.com/support/top...n/en/change_order_after?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
You can call them from overseas and still be like calling from the states using Skype or vonage.
Or else, just send an email to the support. They'll answer in less than 24H
Good luck -
I ordered on June 3rd and I live in Georgia
-
I wonder if the WXGA panels are on backorder.....
It seems everyone with WUXGA is shipping, although not too many ppl order a WXGA panel for a 17" laptop
-
nah i have wugxa and im in build.
-
Where in Georgia? I just finished HS there.
And Clauss, I see you ordered the 320GBx2 in Raid 0. What kinda difference is there in that as compared to a single 500 GB HD? Is it worth 25 bucks? -
In Snellville and I just finished HS too -
Many would say get SSD. I've never had one, though people say they are much faster, obviously making them more attractive. But they are expensive and I couldn't afford it. So i went with 2 320s because they are faster than a single hard drive or raid 1? If i am not mistaken. But risk is if either of the drives fail they both go down. Making you lose everything. I just wanted that much hard drive space. I though 640 would hold me for a long time. Seemed reasonable to me.
-
That's great Kilthro - Congrats. I hope you get yours by the end of the week. I can't wait to see what people say when they get them in their hands.
Even if it says you can't change your order. You might call them and try. The worse thing they can say is no. Besides, if they are trying to get these things out the door then someone changing from black to silver would be to their benefit. -
Alright, i'll cancel my order today due to Dell's racism lol, probably trying to get one from US or just go with a netbook and buy a desktop when I have time.
@JBBW: I'm glad didn't hear you complain about the order being delayed anymore, i'm pretty sure you will get ur soon, so u should happy with what you got and thanks god for not being in my position lol. -
Nah can't be that I ordered after you and am boxing
I think ordering thru an agent helps alot, I think that is the diff between boxing and build by at least two days
