I really don't understand what is going on, lol. How can so many people who ordered after me/us have their systems shipped already? Dell are taking the .

Also, lessons learned from the W90 owner lounge which I followed from the beginning...Several people received their w90 and subsequently went afk for a few days sucked into playing games and forgetting to post pics for us NBR users ;( lol we were so tortured. Remember to take pics and post same day, mad +rep waiting

I don't think the dell reps have a clue, I ordered on the 3rd, confirmed payment over phone, went in production as soon as payment was confirmed on the 3rd, been in build stage since so today i decided to do an experiment and place 3 calls back to back to back about my order,

1st call i was told it would ship tomorrow, i was like woo hoo at first but then i realized i have yet went into boxing and told rep so, she stated that is the information she had.

2nd call the guy told me my order was on hold due to backordered parts, he said the qx9300, & 280's were on delay, i told him what first lady said and he said well that is the information he had.

3rd call, i told the lady what i was told by the reps from the previous 2 calls and was told that nothing was backordered and my system was just being held up in production due to high demand and i should expect it to ship in about a week or so.

so basicly what am i supposed to believe?

(Still in build stage by the way)

Yeah, their information doesn't seem to be on the same page. I've had conflicting information from various reps too. Going to phone up three times in a row, like you, tomorrow to see what happens. Should be my last day in pre-production tomorrow, so yay!

 

Why should it be the last day in pre-production?

Ok, just thought you might have had the same issue as me. I was in 'build' stage until yesterday having ordered the first day.

 

OMG!!! I Just got home from work to find out it SHIPPED!!! Coming tomorrow with my free overnight!!!! ITS ALMOST HERE!!! I am never gonna get any sleep tonight and I have to work tomorrow...Gonna be a long day! Good luck to all and I hope you see the shipping email soon!

I never got an email, weird. I know I always sign up for email notification. I received one this morning for my hard drives.

btw yes i can see the invoice. I just checked. Has the service tag on it and all... the disclaimer says not avail until 48 hrs after it ships but it did work.

 

The description, that I see, for pre-production:
" Pre-Production time varies and may take up to 14 days.
Your Estimated Delivery Date includes the Pre-Production time for your order."

It says "up to", so surely that means the maximum is 14 days. It doesn't say working days either, that should include weekends too.

Mine must be linked wrong somehow. It shows all my orders I placed online in the past and can get those but not this one. No big deal.

 

Don't take this the wrong way, but spamming the Dell reps isn't entirely going to result in a better outcome. The reps can see when you call, what you called about and more. The more they get bombarded the less likely they may be to help you (even if it is their job).

Not trying to be a naysayer on this, but... I used to have that job, so I talk from experience. I'm not saying there aren't bad techs/call reps, but...

 

I ordered my M17x on the 8th and followed it up with a phone call about an hour later to confirm financing and stuff.

Today I am in the "build" phase, confirmed that with a phone call and even spoke with a Dell rep, he says that it will ship by the 7th of July. Does anyone think that it could ship earlier, like by the 26th of June? I am leaving town on the 30th and would love to have it before I leave?

I only did it as an experiment to see if i get the same story everytime or get 3 completely different stories. I would think if they had a clue i'd get similar stories but as i posted back a few posts ago i got 3 different stories within a 30 minute time span all checking the same order.

Maybe next experiment should be a 3 way conference call and see if you get 2 different stories at the same time

I ordered my M17x on the 12th, but had to make changes to it today and I know have a sooner EDD of July 7th. My previous EDD was July 12th. I guess only time will tell either way I'm excited

Congrats, welcome to the club.

 

When you ordered via EPP, you got assigned a new customer number. Since you used EPP you cannot add this number manually in "My Account".

To add the number to your acct:

Find the customer number in your order email
Call a Dell CSR and ask them to add this number to your acct.


This is something that has been going on with Dell as long as I can remember. I suggest adding it so you can get your detailed info in your acct.

Dell is wierd with their "segments".

 

Weird how they give different customer numbers. Everything should be linked by user regardless how it was purchased.
