As of this morning mine is also in the boxing stage. I ordered online on the 7th of June using my DPA.

 

been in boxing 4 DAYS eh i don't really care....

 

For Europe there seem to be production locations, Ireland, Poland and China.
How much longer will the time be between boxing and shipment to Holland for a computer built in China compared to Ireland or Poland.

 

Been in the pre-production phase for 14 days tomorrow. The description of the phase says this that ' Pre-Production time varies and may take up to 14 days'. Yet after just calling up, all the rep was able to tell me is that "demand for this product is high". Yeah...thanks. I knew it would be that's whY I ordered early. He also told me that some European orders are being put together in China. He was not able to confirm whether my order was being processed in Ireland, Poland or China.

So basically, Dell are still shunting European customers since it seems none have moved out of the pre-production phase.

no prob man, now from here on out, you get more frustrated with tasks such as "boxing" and wondering why it takes 5 days to do so lol

 

Right...just ordered my M17X 16th June and delivery date is estimated to be 3rd July...but im not holding my breath!!!! Ordered from Dell Ireland!!!! Only managed to get an upgrade on the warranty and accidental damage from 3years to 4...and it cost me €5,321.86....maybe i should learn to haggle!!!

 

Huey... They were waiting for mine to get done and on the pallet with yours and others before they put it on the plane to ship over.

 

There is no reason for me to call 800 times a day, anymore lol

The next step is "shipped" and that will update on Dell's website same time as phone.

 

Do it anyway for good luck. BTW for you UK/Netherlands/Germany/Other guys, I feel so bad for you guys. Pre-production still for 2 week. My condolences go out to you, sorry guys.

Oh, I should also mention that the second guy who called me from Dell yesterday said mine was being built in China. He gave me the rundown on the different stages really quick and included some terms I am not familar with so he sounded like he really knew what he was talking about.

Also - Since the boxing stage comes right before shipping and shipping only includes the travel from a US location to your doorstep doesn't that mean that boxing includes shipping from the manufacturer to the US distributor? (I really doubt my 'next day' delivery could mean from China all the way to my house.)

They offered me next day shipping but I already had that.
Both of the callers told me yesterday that they would expedite the order as much as possible.

But you know, I am ok with it all. Just knowing what is going on has really helped my attitude.

 

Sorry to talk again about those in boxing, once again sorry for those less fortunate. WE WILL for a fact see shipping numbers friday or next monday. I got a call from my dell resolution representative saying mine would ship in 3-4 business days. BTW I will be making a video of the unboxing if people want. I have next day shipping so I should HOPEFULLY be able to get mine soon. Again, sorry to those who had problems with their orders, or live in Europe...Sorry. At least you guys have better gelatto than in America.

interesting... dell has never used china for the US market - APCC1 and APCC2 in penang malaysia were used exclusively.

Coming back from a business trip on June 27th, and I am hoping to have a new toy to greet me!

 

Ordered 6/7 and I'm now in the boxing stage, where they put tape on a box for five days

 

Today is 4th business day that my laptop has been in boxing. I believe any laptops in boxing will ship very soon.

 

Just ordered today.. Trying to track but face this "Please ensure the following values are valid". Any ideas

 

You aren't using the web site to order are you? If so, DON'T. Those orders are verified later than orders over the phone (2 days for mine) AND if I had ordered over the phone with a customer agent not only would I have someone to call when my order when haywire but the problem probably wouldn't have existed in the first place. (They had an item with an ilegal SKU on the web site and of course...i selected it.)

They migh be on a boat from China to USA.
I guess an airplane is too expensive.

Hi everyone,
I'm going to be receiving my system either Thursday or Friday. If I were to take a wild guess, I'd say Friday. Depending on whether or not someone else receives their system at the same time, I'll be providing a brief review and several pics for all those interested.

Sleeyo i bet that all that went to shipping, were the group of ppl who went into boxing before us.(While we were in build) We will be next batch of shipments I would say.

Yes, looks like Thursday delivery but I'm so busy at work it will be difficult to get that time off. Oh well, I'll have to wait until Thursday night.

My rep said my order is built and is in transit to nashville. 72hrs till ship is what he said, so if all goes well I'll have mine Friday!

 

Sleeyo mine said 3-4 business days from today. So you think with next day shipping I might have a chance to get it friday/saturday? Or should i just assume next week.

 

Honestly, I think ours will be early next week.
