*OFFICIAL* M17x Order Status Thread...

Well, no bcause people who ordered between 2/06 and 8/06 in the US have their systems. As I've stated so many times, nobody anywhere else in the world has received an order (no-one in Canada even) meaning that parts were probably favoured for US systems. But I can't believe they have parts on backorder, that's a joke.

My best guess would be Mobile. Although it's more like Immobile

 

Update: Just got moved to the boxing stage. My EDD is still July 22nd though. Anyone have an estimate on how long this stage usually lasts? Hopefully, I'll have it by next weekend.

 

So butters what games do you plan on playing? For me..All steam games, I know I dont need the m17x for it, but I just love CSS. I already beat both crysis and crysis warhead. Fallout 3 has been OK. when starcraft 2 comes out, diablo 3. Maybe dawn of war 2. I used to compete is REAL warhammer 40k.(tabletop)

And..my replacement is still in building...(had to keep it on topic)

 

I also used to play real warhammer haha.... expensive hobby... anyway I play some more intensive games I will defiitely be playing

you got the two day shipping... like I was saying lol two day doesn't mean two day.... 1-5 day ground means 2 weeks, 2 day shipping means 5 days, 1 day shipping means 3... At least for me and my peccimism

I will grab Modern warfare 2 when it comes out. Crysis warhead was sick. Crysis wars is mad hard cause those people are amazing at it. Call of Juarez that any good?

The graphics are absolutely Incredible... The story itself is good, but the voice acting falls a little short lol... at least the main characters...

What's great about this game though is on my Desktop 8800 GT I can play this Maxed out at a very fluid FPS it is obviously well programmed and optimized... here are a few pics

I cant wait till you see crysis warhead on very high(enthusiast) with 1900 by 1200 resolution. I might play it again just because it looked so damn good.

Today is my 16th day of "In Production".....

Is mine taking longer than most 'US' purchases have taken thus far or is it just me?

 

Some people have remarked that even though it may say it is still in production... it has already moved into the boxing stage and would be shipped shortly... I would say give it another 5-10 days to reach you

 

The ESD is 7/7/09 and the EDD is 7/13/09 and if it's still in the "Build Stage," then Dell is cutting it extremely close... which blows for me.

 

M17 in astronomy stands for the the Omega Nebula (a few lights years away) in the Sagittarius arm of our galaxy.
Hope they're not shipping from there because the waiting is killing me.

Serious note, from the European Order status thread, we have learnt that a guy from England who ordered on the 15th of June has his M17x, after it was shipped last Friday. I spoke to my rep's supervisor today and my delivery is going to be the 22nd July, the day I get back from holiday - since I leave on Sunday.

 

ok so here's the story. my arrival date is today, yeah, today. i checked the status on fedex it says its in a delivery truck on its way. so im pretty impatient. i wake up at about 10 and no delivery. at about 2 i decide to go work out for a lil bit to get my mind off getting my friggin m17x. i get back, still no delivery. so im chillin in my living room, watching nfl network, eatin some quiznos, and i see a fedex truck turn into my road (HOLY CRAP) im all excited and i walk to the door and open it. the friggin truck keeps going, turns on the next street, and dissapears...what the eff?! i stand there in amazement with my mouth completely open "maybe he'll turn around" i thought. nope. stood there for 2 minutes...no truck. ? seriously..?! seriously?? this is going to happen? great now i dont know when imma get the friggin thing. he's prolly gonna deliver it to the wrong house...and the people are gonna be like...."durr this isnt mine!! oh well i guess ill just smash it with a baseball bat!" god im going eat wit some friends hopefully it'll be here when i get back....or else lol

 

i hit the boxing stage today, eagerly awaiting shipping.

 

Depends on your shipping - if you got next day or 2 day then fedex express will be delivering it.

If you got standard than home delivery will be delivering.

These are 2 different parts of the Fedex company. Whatever vehicle you saw could have been either or....

What number is best to call for Order Status information? And will it actually say it's in the "boxing" stage if it's done being built? Or does it just go from In Production to Shipped?

 

It goes from in production to shipped. Once it's shipped you can go to your carriers website and use the tracking number to see where it is

 

theres a number on the first page of the thread that will tell you what "in production" stage its in i.e. building/boxing/etc.

 

Well they just gave me 150 off my order and my order will be in my hands before the 27th of july. Had to be tricky and just go thru the american cust service, and get them to transfer me to dell canada's "higher up complaint line"

 

i canceled my order, it got pushed back till the 14th and the best part is that i ordered on June 2nd. o well ill wait for the new m15x. i do not need sli 280's that bad.

 

mine finally came in! im on it now! i've been playing crysis on MAXED out settings and it runs soooo smooth. i'm very glad i decided to go alienware. everyone tells you "no man you can get a gateway for way less and get the same specs" but trust me, you CANNOT beat alienware quality. unless of course, i wake up tomorrow and try to boot it up and it goes to crap lol

 

i hate when i come true. so same day as me. at least theoretically

by the way where can we see what kind of delivery we selected? i think i selected standard anyway as i didnt want to spend more money for this. how should i know?

Wow sweet specs man! one question though why did you sacrifice the Extra GPU, larger hard drive and a burner drive to get the 8gb ram?

 

GPU? Well I would never use the blu-ray burner and I have a few external hard drives so with a 256 SS im pretty much set.

 

Graphics Processing unit or Graphics Card!!! , why didn't you get 4 or 6 gb ram and get teh dual 260 or 280's?

 

Well I was pretty wasted when I ordered mine. Lol. No, I guess im just not that much of a hardcore gamer.

Well i got it all straightened out in one call this morning . Sure enough they tried to bill the whole thing yesterday to my credit card instead of splitting it to DPA and my CC . Im still confused why it would have done that after i specified how much went on each card ? .

 

You could have gotten an extra 3% off if you put the whole amount on your DPA....

 

I would have loved to bro but i only had 2k on the account . total came to $2585 with next day shipping

Yeah im abit excited but its along ways off so im not freaking out at this point .

Still have to snag a Qx9300 now and the extra HD cage which sucks since i cant order that till i actually get the machine .

 

I've been telling everyone yo just order the system with RAID and you could always sell the extra drive if (or both) you don't want them.

That way there is no hassle for the drive cage

 

I already had the 500gig so it would have been a waste honestly , ill just have to hope i can get the extra cage without issue. I also didnt want to have to spend anymore right now then need be since ill need the new CPU ASAP .
