Photoshopped some stuff on, nevermind. Though the actual machine ought to be interesting...
-
Just FYI, the picture I posted at the beginning of this post has nothing added to it. I only increased brightness and reduced contrast. All content in my pic was there to begin with.
-
actually with the grills and the led's like that it reminds me of the m1730 where the speakers are....
-
Based potentially on M1730? interesting...
-
Actually, compare pictures of the M1730 to this latest photo and that of the M17.
They all have the front speakers but the construction is very different on all three.
IMO, the laptop in this latest photo does not look like it's based on the M1730. -
duh dell is killing its xps seris dont you guys listen to sneaky?
its a 17 inch not anythign else god just stop witht he 18.4
and he said it is going to be a mix of m17x and m1730 -
What does M17x and M1730 not have in common, except for appearance?
Two laptops are running a very similar platform, to the extent one is probably enough. I think this new laptop will simply be replacement of both, in one package. -
It really doesn't matter what "ex-employees" say. Speculation is speculation, and so far, ALL sources, except for the dude that posted the wallpaper, have all bluffed. -
-
Just looks like they took the speakers that were above the keyboard on the M17x and moved them to the crotch position. Not the best for sound quality but hopefully they slimmed down the touch control area between the keyboard and screen like on the M17....it makes for a much cleaner look.
-
I never believed all the hype of the "all powerful" advertising would end up being a warmed over 17X or a Dell with an alien head slapped on.
Just wouldn't make sense to me.
And that's my speculation. -
actually the 1730 speakers in the front are awesome. some of the best i have personally ever heard on a notebook. they get crazy loud and are so clear at higher volumes. and they are in the front...

MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
Well thank you rob for the original pic, it was a team effort as far as I'm concerned
-
Favorites: Orange, green, and red. Awesome. I hope colors are changeable.
-
for >2000 they better be
-
I can't wait to see the actual spec's.
Even if you look at the least (in terms of performance) it could be, it's still gonna be pretty impressive.
IMO, being billed as "All powerful", indicates to me that it will best any current laptop in their line-up. -
lol newest usually means that
-
Yup, usually.
-
I think a 21inch laptop would be awesome, but thats just me
.

dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
idk really. how was your w90. did you like the size?
-
For a daily carrier ie someone in school the W90 would probably a bit much, but from room to room around the house its not an issue at all and i moved mine quite abit in the month i had it . I had 17 inch laptops since the first XPS 17incher was released and never had smaller since then so im rather use to bigger rigs. The W90 though is built like a tank and has some extra heft to it because of the glass screen.
Cant wait to see the new Alienware btw , from that pic im sure its going to be something special . -
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
I don't want an 18" not only becuase of the added size, but due to the 16:9 aspect ratio... why cant they make a 1900x1200 18.4" screen?

Hmmm... why?
-
Cool beans.
Looks pretty neato -
-
-
Ok I get my confusion now, the pic I clicked didn't show the keyboard and I couldn't tell it was a laptop. Looked more like a sports car fender below a logo.

Looks almost like the "Desktop" design is coming to the laptops.

OK cuib,
Here is the picture I originally posted. All I did was increase the brightness and reduce the contrast a little.

Did anyone receive a newsletter from AW?
There pic in that is very similar to the uploaded photo. -

this thread has been linked on Engadget:

-
Glad to see we've helped add to the "buzz" of the new "All Powerful"!
-
maybe someone should have tipped them off about my spoiler for this supposed "Allpowerful" notebook.
-
For anyone else who wants to leak some pictures or tech specs on the new "All Powerful".
This is the best place to leak your information. We'll keep it among friends and won't tell anyone. Really. -
Though, if the photo uploaded by mingocr83 was real, then could Gophn's spoiler be false?
I think mingocr83 mentioned the existing details concerning this machine aren't necessarily true.
Picture of new Alienware laptop.
