Yeah just give me time I'm about to get off of work so I'll have more time to mess with it. I'll have a better video more colors as soon as i get home and have time to make it.

 

Doesn't the desktop version of AlienFX let you sync with music/sound effects? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if they enable that down the line with the laptop version. Don't think I'd want the keyboard flashing and going crazy during a game but the other zones would be cool.

 

It should be able to sync. When we went to ces, they were showing it off with lights synched up to music, and guitar hero III. So there is a way.

I ordered it on the day of release, there was no 7700 processor available and I needed to keep the price down.

its still the 7500 then the 7800 on the uk site no 7700 (BOOOO!)
thats why, I would have preferred the same price and 7700 but nooooo cant have that BOOO (again)

Yes why not, for me i do use laptop in dark and allot when going desert for dune riding. which i normally camp for a week or more.

yeah its great I am loving it I haven't really thrown any hardcore games at it yet, but it handles anything i through at it. It also converts my videos alot faster than desktop (pentium D 930 not very good but it works). Everyone especially loves the lights.

 

I'm about to buy a m15x but i don't know what colour to choose. do u get all of them and what is the colour the m15x is advertised in? Blue, Aqua or indigo?

also what does it look like in indigo?

 

you get them all....you can change to all the colors advertise.

 

this is only so that u can choose which color is set for when u take out ure m15x out of the box.. it will be the color that you will have chosen, but you can always change it to any of the 10 colours in the alienware control panel.
So dont worry, everyone has all colours.

I thought i'd resurrect this old and tired thread to share some pictures (as opposed to starting a new thread)

I've only taken one of my ENTIRE setup right now (all my computers) but i'll be taking more snaps soonish.

nice one ^ i like all the oldschool monitors.

 

I <3 CRTs. I do quite the work in Photoshop, and I like to NOT have to calibrate my hardware... therefore, CRTs FTW.

for those who don't know/are daft, the backlighting on LCD monitors doesn't have a full colour gamut. thus, some colours don't show up as well as they should. (so what's the big deal?) ... when doing photo editing, where colour accuracy is key for good prints, it's important to have accurate colour representation on-screen.

(plus they're cheap and last forever)

I'll upgrade to all LCD when the LED backlighting comes down another few thousand dollars (to somewhere around the same prices as current LCDs)
