MICHAELSD01 Apple/Alienware Master
Wow man, you just read my mind or something. I wanted someone to put up pictures of the MBP and the m15x side by side, and lo and behold, you just did. Anyone chance we can get some better pictures comparing the MBP and m15x and maybe even a little comparison review (build quality, screen quality, keyboard, touchpad, etc.)? BTW, it's great to see you've finally gotten your notebook!
-
I have to admit that's really cool alienware/user, but it must eat the battery pretty quickly.
And I like how the backlight color kind of blends with the Vista login screen. -
Those are some awesome lighting feature right there.
May you enjoy it for years to come. -
great pics alien! How long did it take u clean?
-
hey alien/user which one you like best, the MBP or the m15x?
-
Lethal Lottery Notebook Betrayer
heat: MBP is cooler when doing basic tasks, but really heats up during gaming or editing. m15x always seams pretty hot so i would say victory goes to MBP.
noise: MBP is almost always silent, i can never hear it unless gaming. the AW is much louder all around but when doing basic tasks with stealth mode its fine for me. victory goes to MBP because i can always slightly hear the AW.
performance: m15x because of the better cpu/gpu.
speakers: same but MBP seems louder.
size: MBP feels half the size of the m15x. defintly better for portabilty.
design: MBP has a nice case as opposed to the plastic on the m15x. but it lacks the different color lights and ports.
overall i would go with the m15x beacause its faster and has more ports and a mem card reader. for anyone who does not want to play newer games i would say get the MBP 100%. -
hmm yeah it all depends on one's needs.
and price-wise? -
Tacomenace: kinda OT, but I own a lan center, and I used that NZXT Trinity case to build 32 rigs... Could you take a few pics of that laptop next to that case (closed and opened, and one with the Trinity door open).
I love that desktop case... I can assemble a machine in it blindfolded without cutting my fingers now... so some pics next to it may seal me into the m15x over the NP5793. Sharp edges on the insides though... lol. -
no problem stand by!
-
I love that case I have built 2 others with that same case. Here you go!
and yes there is a crack in the window. I had the cover on the floor and I accidentally stepped on it. -

very nice i really like how it matches the desktop. i used to have one like that but it was too loud so i converted to laptops.
-
yeah really looks nice.
-
Wow looks amazing
-
Dang.. The previous pics dint do justice to that deadly combo..
Sigh -
I ordered it on 2 March with all the back ordered/problem parts, it's on a fedex plane right now. I fly on the back end of an Air Force C-17 for 15+ hours at a time in the dark with about 100 other guys, who, when they aren't doing military stuff, they are gaming. Think they'll notice?
-
Hehe.. Nice one
Oh and welcome to the forum..
So how you gonna safeguard your investment..
If you wanna see what others are using check this thread and this thread out -
But seriously, I got mucho competition, Voodoos and Falcon Northwests as far as the eye can see. But, I think I'm on top for now.
-
My bad. You meant the bag. Yeah, I ordered the AW bag but traveling in the back of a military plane is tough, I'll have to give it the once over when I get it. Although, I've got a powerebook that's been to Thailand, Vietnam and Laos 20 something times and it doesn't have a scratch. I think half is the bag and half is the person carrying it.
-
Hehe.. No worries..
So what's your config like.. And 'on a fedex plane' ? So another day or two huh ? All the best..
The only thing precious I got is my 500GB external HD which I'm taking all over (in one city) to make a Grad video..
Hope everything turns out good with your m15x -
Sorry to highjack the thread but it's late night everyones in bed. Here are the specs. It's coming to Hawaii so everything is fedex although it takes 3 days. It left this morning so I should get it last call Thursday. It's like Santa but without the magic sled, still feels the same.

Dude !! You nearly maxed that system out
Dang must've cost upward of $3500..
A little note.. From what I've heard the Razer Lachesis Mouse is kinda bad..
Just a little heads-up.. Don't mean for you to regret anything tho.. If you've already used it and like it then no problemo.. To each his own right ?
Kick those Voodoos & Northwests around !!
Put up pics of your new lit up m15x, would love to see your configs.
