@Roger - To get to the nvidia control panel right click on your desktop and the option should be right there. If it is not let me know and I'll help you out. If I'm not responding to this thread just toss me a PM.

What drivers are you running? The stock drivers for me have been fussy with resolutions and other settings.

Hmm. Chances are you really don't need to adjust those settings at all. If you really want to mess with them go to laptopvideo2go.com and download the newest drivers (you have to go to the forums) and see what people say about them.

Aight I've got GeForce 9800M GT *2, SLI runs poorly and even Lag
    Forceware Version 176.10.

I got Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9300 @ 2.50 GHz if something is wrong and my OS is Vista 32bit.
    And i've got 4GB RAM
I runned a blue-ray disk and it lagged while on SLI. I'd like to get the best out of my Portable (area 51 Mx17x) but i feel like i'm not on it yet.

Sorry haven't been through all thes pages but times misses.

Can't find my CPU in your link: vista 32bit, and i cant access the first one. What should i do?

Hmm... I will look into this for you. I believe there are threads here with M17x info I'll check. This is primarily written for M9750 users.

No you can't, DVI does not have a sound channel, HDMI does. You're computer would have to have an HDMI output with an integrated sound. To get sound you can use the Optical port or get a mini-phono to RCA adapter.

ok, ive asked around eveywhere on this forums and never got an answer. So ill ask here. I did part A (multiple times, cant even count it on 2 hands anymore) and if i activate it right after im done installing, the screen flickers hardcore, and i mean really hardcore, goes blank for 2 secs, then i can see for about half a sec and just repeats itself. Then if i restart, well it just blackscreens. IVE DONE EVERYTHING, install different drivers, reseat my gfx cards, reformat from windows 7 to to vista to XP, and the result is all the same. Im getting very very frustrated at the computer. I bought it with 1 gfx card on ebay and bought the other not too long ago. 1 daughter (main) and 1 parent (secondary) (incase someone asks if i bought 2 of the same one). Seriously, has anyone had this problem? Oh and they're dual 7950 gtx go's on a m9750, lol incase you guys were wondering

The daughter is the secondary and the parent is the main. Is that a type or did you mix that up?

Plus, if both cards are really the exact same model, they may not work. As i understood it the daughter card is a different build from the main card. Can you confirm that at least one of those cards works alone?

Yes the daughter one works fine alone. They do have different bios numbers, but i think thats normal. For the record, Alienware's site states that the daughter is the main and parent is the secondary.

    Heres where it states it:

Rock and Roll man. I'll have to try this guide and install a driver with it sometime. I'd always wondered if I installed my driver right even though it plays MOST of my games. looking at it I think I missed some stuff. XP
