Dell reps really got my nerves whilst trying to order my system. One said he would give me a quote in 20 minutes, and never got back to me (this was yesterday), and the next is trying to tell me i need to bulk buy in order to get ANY discount at all off an alienware system. Do they think I was born yesterday? I told him I had a coupon code for 7% off the system price, and also one for free shipping, and he simply terminated the live chat. Ridiculous. Luckily there is £150 off the list price of the 17 i'm looking at, as well as the 7% gives me around 11-12% off the list price with free shipping. I guess I should be happy with that!

Edit: sent you a PM stevie, may as well see what your guy can do for me ;)

Just want to say thanks to steviejones133, your guy rang me friday and put me onto another £100 off and because of that I changed my order and threw in the 780M instead of the 770M. With the extra £100 off it only cost me £46 for the upgrade!

    Cheers buddy!

I don't blame you one bit mate. I've been following your other thread and it's left me gobsmacked on occasion, as to how a company can behave in such a way, and so far get away with it. I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone you've helped on this thread when I say thank you very much for efforts, even through your continuing disagreements with Dell. I really hope you get sorted out soon!

Thanks, Oli - I appreciate your comments. It's such a shame, because I really loved helping people to buy Alienware, and save some money in the process. I am sure that you guys will do just fine without me helping out, you are a resourceful bunch of individuals which is proven by a lot of you ending up posting on my thread!.

I wish I could carry on helping, but it really would be totally against the grain right now - I'd be contradicting myself if I carried on supporting Dell or Alienware after the experience I have had of late. If things change, I might reconsider helping out again, but until such a time, as far as me helping Dell, it's quite simply a case of "No likey, no lighty!"

I've just dropped you a PM mate, but not sure how it stands now after what you've just said! It's only a warranty extension I'm after so no problem if you can't help.

Received and replied. Last one though guys - please, no more PM's asking for my help. Dell have to learn that they cannot treat people (myself, of couse) like crap and STILL have me refer business to them, it just doesn't work that way. As much as it grieves me to not be able to help you guys, it's gotta be like this - I didn't make it like this, it was Dell's doing.

So, until further notice, no PM's asking for discounts or help. I am no longer in the business of lining Dell's pockets whilst they continue to offer appalling service.
