For over $700 less than an OEM plus my previous experiences with ES chips I'd trust them with my life.

QS/ES is a chip that was tested on during development of the OEM chip. Being cheaper mean it has its draw backs. Its basically luck of the draw with them. Someone can get one that is as a OEM someone can get one worth jack all.

What he said is true and yet it doesn't answer the question whatsoever.

ES/QS samples for everything below a 920xm aren't even that much of a discount. The 920XM ES/QS samples are like half the price of an oem. I'm looking for an ES 820QM :)

People come to Las Vegas to gamble. People buying ES and QS also are gambling. It's like the roll of the dice, that is if you get one your happy with.

Nothing wrong with ES chips, and I've never heard of anyone having any problems with them.

1,400 - 1,600 is my bet. When they first come out.

People have known for ages ES chips can be temperamental. Even more so with the i7 ES, They 'can' run alot hotter then there OEM counterparts.

No. These new procs are virtually the same as the existing quad-cores.
