-
-
5 mins left on download
then trying ...will i have to use driver sweeper ? i've never had to install the same driver twice
-
great lmk how it goes. just got done modding my msi bios
-
-
CatalogFile= and 1 = %DiskId%,,,.\ ?
As i can see its pretty much like AW's (which scales) .inf files with "two" huge tweaks for performance from http://www.donotargue.com and KillerSneak's Tweaks.
Couldnt figure what else it needed to change in the inf in order to install the driver though, apart from the first few lines and the one in the end.
Lets hope urs work -
it workded for me
-
/crosses fingers.
Waiting for download to complete -
-
uninstalling them now and going for a restart so i can try and see if they work
should know in 2-3 mins
As i can see you didnt change the
[SourceDisksNames.x86]
1 = %DiskId%,,,.\B_75976
line ;s
Im gonna flip if this work since theres no such folder -
man i missed a stupid line like that ill change that one now. arghhhhhh ill re-up it in a sec
-
re-upping now with the correct folder. hey its late here what can i say lol mr moo said they worked fine for him im not sure how?
-
Doesnt work
Even tried and changed that line too. It doesnt allow you to install the display driver. So something must be still missing.
Your driver is the first picture, as you can see it has a conflict and doesnt allow the display driver to install. Picture no2 is the E's drivers which as you can see the display driver is there.Attached Files:

hmm they worked for 2 people and not one now?? what the heck?? doesnt make sense i see everything he changed out. ill look it over again. wonder why it worked for moo?
-
wait ... i unno what happend ... i might clicked the wrong 64 bit setup folder
i cant install now
-
im looking at it now. moo pull the links from the first page for now. what does it say moo when you try to install it?
-
hmm this is for sure odd when i try to install them on my desktop i see the driver option but it says no hardware found. okay back to looking through this.
-
i see nothing i have no option to install my card driver
-
hmm okay i think i see what it is hang on
-
ok yay
i removed the 64 bit link ...does the 32 bit need to be gone to ?
-
yup im working on it sucks its hard for me since i dont have the machine here to test it on
-
i can be your test dummy
-
Its really easy for me to test it. If theres a way to tell me the ..inf file i can just paste it and run it without uninstalling everything. Since i have the 8.12 drivers i can tell if it works.
If it shows that it allows me to install the new display drivers instead of just saying the ones already installed means its going to work
In other words, find a way to paste the .inf somewhere or just upload itwhatever works best
-
so the 8.12 inf works with the 9 seris drivers?
-
Nop, comparing the .infs i see only 4-5 things changing between drivers. Basically i compared 8.12 and 9.1 E's .infs.
Trying to play with those lines based on 9.2 info. So far no luck -
look at the stock infs and look if they added something
-
No go zfactor
Still doesnt let it install the new drivers.
Tried that moo, also tried pasting the entire session of our cards from the original .infStill no luck
And i really dont see what else can be changed to make it work.

hmm but at least it shows it now... okay was that with a uninstall or going over the old ones?
-
Lol!
Think i found it. Sec guys working on it. If it works your are going to laugh so hard at our stupidity -
Can someone please upload a screenshot of the driver info from CCC till i get this done ?
-
ok z your one you sent me does not work it shows up but does not install
but it sed i had errrors -
yeah i think ive got it.
-
zfactor, dont waste your time. If this work you are going to laugh. Someone please upload a screenshot though to make sure
-
a screen shot of ccc with stock 9.2?
-
lol im pretty sure i know what you are looking at.
-
Yea basically to see the version. And compare it with this.
Going for a restart and a try to install -
here is from my desktop

moo the 64 works fine correct?
-
nope it showed on the install for drivers but it wouldn't install them i had errors
-
ahh okay i think me and cool are thinking the same thing lol
-
i got this after your driver install it was stuck on my screen -
lol okay hang on hang on
-
i guess ill wait ...i dont have a option lol
-
Bah
So close but yet so far...
The reason why it wasnt showing the drivers in zfactor's .zip and mine is because we forgot to modify the rest of the files using the mobility modder (lol). If you use the mobility modder and then modify the .inf file then it shows the proper driver version in the installation...
SADLY.. Even with that after using my modified .inf zfactor's first and 2nd .inf all result to the same error at the end of the installation (attachment). So basically it skips the display driver installation and installs everything else
We are still missing something...Attached Files:

maybe its not seeing the right card.....
when you install stock it reads 3870 x2
and e's always read 3870.....
just sayin

does this driver use diffent adresses for the card? -
check pm's moo
-
it will disappear. -
Both have the same things in the inf. 3870x2 and 3870 = ati2mtag_RV630 for the .inf so basically it leads to the same info. Not the reason why its not installing the display drivers
-
so then it works fox?
mob modded 9.2 for evry one
