Oh, no, that's just the BIOS. Doesn't include V41.

Under the "function" box the 3 options are "Help" "Polling Only" "Polling & Logging". It's the last small box in the bottom right corner of the 6 small boxes.

Is anybody else having their volume slider light flicker with this bios update? My volume light flickers for no apparent reason.

Hello Nyceis, actually Im having the problem with volume slider, I called alienware and they said I need to reinstall vista, but I really dont think is vista the problem because after updating my bios the arrow keys of the keyboard are behaving strange.

Tech support's favorite answer for everything. I actually installed the BIOS immediately before reinstalling Vista so I can tell you that does not solve the problem.

I have also been having problems with my touch controls and volume slider, but it is definitely AW's problem because I have noticed changes since updating the bios, 2 times now. One thing I noticed was that when my a/c is plugged in i expierence no problems. When starting only on battery, I start to have problems with both my touch pad and touch controls.

If you have already updated the bios try uninstalling the OSD utility and reinstalling it. This seemed to have helped a little bit.

Hey everyone, just instaled the new bios, and got this problem. First It would be nice if you all read this post by freeman:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=291800

and download that little program which measures latency between the system and drivers. Before the bios update I had about 1k latency and now I have a constant 12k. No good.

EDIT: just got back to x32 and my latency is now is average 1k. Plz aw fix this. Not only got this problem (see link above)

Hmm, I was just about to try out this update, hopefully fixing my CPU downclocking at 92C issue but there seem to be a handful of problems. Hope they get fixed and not ignored.

Ever since I updated to the X34 BIOS a week ago, I am having the audio popping issue while listening to music and my volume slider keeps flickering.

Can someone post a link to the X30 and X32 BIOS? It would be greatly appreciated as those 2 are not in MyHive anymore. Thanks!

Well, i updated to the x34 last night and i do hear some popping, but its not so obvious for me. I had to really listen for it. But its not that bad IMO. Of course i would like it so it doesn't happen at all, but after watching a couple movies, and played Company of Heroes, i stopped noticing it after a while.

As for performance, OMG, thank you! I do notice the fan blasting away but its not annoying(maybe 'cause i have an AC thats loud anyways. Haven't measured temperatures yet, i did a clean sweep the other day when i upgraded to 4gigs and a 64bit vista so i haven't installed any programs besides codecs and company of heroes, so i'll fill everyone in when i do.
