New MBP with Li-Poly battery!
with 15" RGB LED? -
Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
Wow, it is nice. 7 hour battery life with a full power C2D! Makes culv notebooks like the Acer 3810 seem not so special.
The new 13" MBP is nice. -
"The 13" MacBook Pro " smart name
-
New screens! *hugs Phil*
-
nice to see a 500gb hdd come standard on the 17'
-
the new laptop line looks a bit funny... losing the express card slot? ouch...
-
tho I don't like excpress card->sc card transaction...
-
I don't even know where to begin with these new "MBP's"
-
He didn't expressly state that the 15" wouldn't have an express card, perhaps just an odd choice of words when discussing the 17" let's see what the store actually lists before we get the pitchforks.
-
No design update for the MBA it seems. Too bad.
It gets a CPU update and pricedrop though. -
They added stuff to the MB that it should of had and renamed it the MBP.
-
the new 13" Macbook Pro is an awesome little machine.. makes me think about trying to sell my 15"er I have now and get one.
-
lol yeah, theres not much reason left to buy the 15' over the 13' and 17'
-
I still see some reasons to buy the 15". It's probably an RGB LED screen and has Nvidia 9600.
-
bigger screen? GPU?
-
Pitty they didn't even bother updating the NV GPU.
Does the 13' MBP only get 9400? -
Think so yes.
-
bc it is too small?
-
Yes, I believe so.
-
They removed the 9600 from the low end 15" MBP...At least Snow Leopard looks nice.
-
Yes and 9600 TDP too high.
-
I wonder if 8gb is possible with the old Unibodys. That's the only thing that really bothers me about the updates so soon.
-
I'd have thought, that they ought to remove 9400m completely, and put something lower end, more power efficient like 105m. Cos this way 9600m and 9400m kinda overlaps
-
It would have been cool if they integrated some sort of mobile broadband. (with AT&T perhaps?)
-
OMG!! I'm so glad I sold my Air on Friday. Now I can get the 2.53 Ghz 13" MBP!!! YAYYY!
-
Wow that was a good decision.
New Air might be nice too, 2.13GHz. -
$29 for snow leopard upgrade. EAt that microsft.
-
It makes Dell Adamo seem even more of a joke in comparison...You'd truly have to be insane to get the Adamo over the new MacBook Air.
-
wow $29 dollars for SL
-
I don't know, if they haven't updated the design of the MBA it looks pretty old fashioned.
Looks wise, I prefer the Adamo or Alu Macbook. -
so now what is the different bitween mb and mbp 13 is it only cpu and hdd or some thing.
-
The 13" MBP has a better CPU, LED display and aluminium case.
-
Snow leopard for $29 upgrade for current Leopard users.. damn that is NICE
-
I'd prefer the adamo too but the price.....
-
I love almost everything about the new MBPs but I just hate that they're now all using non-user replaceable batteries. I know it has a lot of advantages over user-replaceable batteries & all of you will flame me for this stupidity of mine but I just don't like this restriction. This is also the main reason why I keep away from the iPods, iPhones, & even other companies' portable GPS systems without a user-replaceable battery (at least I'm glad that Garmin makes some GPS portable systems with user replaceable batteries).
-
I'll think that it is the same "upgraded" screens that they use in the recent Alu MBs.
-
I do agree though, if it's looks you're after, Adamo looks much better than MBA
-
So the changes to the new 15" MBP are irremovable battery but longer life, and a better screen, and sd slot?
-
I like the built in battery thing... they are better batteries that last longer (lifespan) as well as being able to hold more charge, so its almost like already have 2 batteries. Very few people ever use more than 1 let alone more than 2...
-
may i ask-do you really replace batteries on your notebook?
-
guess its all subjective.
The Air looks pretty good... but the Adamo is the ugliest thing I've seen in a long time, not sure how anyone thinks that looks good. -
Lethal Lottery Notebook Betrayer
Hopefully they come out with a solution for hardcore gamers
-
If your battery works for 7 hours, why would you need to replace it?
Provided it keeps working for 5 years like Apple promises. -
And with 1,000 (even if questionable) charge cycles, that would at least last you 3-4 years.
I upgrade my computers every 2 years. -
depends what your doing.. I never do anything hardcore on battery so no big deal, but its possible to drain that battery dead in 2 or 3 hours still...
for me if i really had to run it hard and lug it around on battery, id get a huge external battery pack to plug it into, maybe a couple of them. -
its still not hard to change them out even if you have to do it every couple of years... take off the bottom cover of the laptop swap it out and put it back on.. even a novice could probably do it in under 30 minutes. not too bad if you only have to do it after 4 or 5 years.
Apple Store down. They're updating the store.
