This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I keep getting an error when I try to partition my mac for some reason.. I have VMWare .. - could that be the reason for it?

    Right, so it uses pretty much the same HW as any COTS PC (apart from Apple's EFI BIOS) - so yes it should run windows provided the drivers (which are written by Apple) are written correctly.

    It runs hotter due to its design? => it's a laptop that's designed to run hot :p That's fairly retarded, I'm glad I wasn't on that engineering team. Oh, right, Steve Jobs decided form over function. Gotcha...

    I wouldn't be surprised if Apple deliberately puts Windows driver development on the backburner, so that users continue to have a bad Windows experience, reinforcing the stereotype.

    Don't get me wrong, I'd love to love Apple, as setting up proper audio on Windows/Linux sucks - but don't for a second believe that Apple is acting in *your* best interest - they're an evil facist company too!
