ByteController. It's the simplest iTunes controller I've found (and 100% free). I use it with Growl -- works great.

Seriously, since you're a huge appple fan.

Do you think I don't want to? I can't afford it!!!
-
Are you a student?
-
Not a higher education student...

Well Sam, you better get one as soon as you have the money.
We need you around here for all the leopard questions people are gonna start to ask.
-
Oh really? I was under the impression that you were older...don't know why.
-
I surprise many people
.

Less talk, more screenshots!

If anybody wants the originals, let me know and I'll host them somewhere. -
I really like your taste for desktop, Sam
-
Finally got the big cat! I'm so hyped up, it's great!
I woke up at 7AM to stand in front of the store for 35 minutes until 8AM when it opened, and an hour later, there I is with Leopard
-
If you could host the originals I would be forever grateful!
-
Ok, the originals for mine are hosted at yousendit.com for a while

Only shot I have of my Desktop pre-Leopard. One with Leopard coming. -
That New York wallpaper is really popular...I know so many people that use it.
-
This is my current wallpaper
Spaces rocks
Leopard rocks
-
Yeah my friend recommended it. I dig it.
-
Thanks a bunch.
-
sagebrush, that is very cool!

* its kina hard to tell, but the dock is black. * -
it is cheaper to get it from newegg.com than the student discount brings it down to, although you are in Canada so that comment really doesn't mean a thing.
here is my current desktop, sorry for the large size, but why not? this is a desktop thread right ^_^ and I might as well use all of my glorious pixels!
and here is what it tends to look like recently
-
-
The one big thing I like about the this thread is the Mac users are not trying to make their desktops look like Windows Vista. I just checked the Windows OS forum and they are trying their hardest to make their desktops look like Leopard, very weird and bit pathetic, I guess it just shows they want the Mac experience really bad.
-
That is very true...I see so many Windows desktops with docks.

Here's mine from Interfacelift:
I'm in expose in that photo - I was too lazy to close all my windows.
Also, my dock is usually hidden with a half-way magnify effect on it. -
This is my latest:
It's from interfacelift, in case anyone's wondering. -
docks are practical. its just that os x has one built in. got a problem?
-
bit touchy eh?
-
LOL! I actually did that just before I got a Mac. I used Stardock and all kinds of things to try to get as close as possible! Never quite got the feel right though.
-
Might just be that Macs suck for customising. I wish I could make my Leopard desktop look like my Linux desktop.
I mean, I can't even turn the dock off! I never, ever use it, and it just pops up when I try to get to the bottom of windows. It's so annoying! -
Maybe put the Dock on the left or right side, that way it won't get in your way, at least when you're trying to get to the bottom of the windows
.
But yeah, as I said before, I'd prefer more customizability on Mac OS X. -
It'll still get in the way when I blow things up to maximum size.
-

Why don't you get rid of ALL icons except for finder & trashcan, minimize it as much as possible & don't put on magnify?
It'll be really small that it won't really bother you as much...
-
Those "Rotating" arrows? What are those????
-
stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
somebody needs to port compiz to os x. -
Or hurry up with the KDE4 port.
-
What rotating arrows?
-
I think he's talking about the "Rotate"-ing style icon on your Menu Bar, Fez
.
-
Thanks Sam.
Yes, those two "rotating arrows in the top-right of your screen. in the Menu Bar. (in between the spaces and bluetooth icon)
BTW; How do I post a picture?? -
ah ok! That is the .mac sync icon.
To post a picture, press command + shift + 3, it will take a pic of your screen and save it to your desktop. Then just host it somewhere. If you prefer to take a picture of a portion of your screen, then press 4 instead of 3. -
nothing special
ultra lazy (expose was used, too many windows to minimize)
but I say it looks hot
Post your desktop!
