Is there any way that I can make LCDHype start automatically when windows boots instead of me having to manually start it?

    Predator_MF,

is there anyway you could make your OLED Megascrip work without the use of Everest's temperature monitor?

Cause Everest only has this temperature gadget on it's paid version (Ultimate)... Thus, to avoid spending $$$, it'd be really cool if perhaps you could switch everest's temp monitor for another open source software monitor, like the HWMonitor or Coretemp, for example...

    Thanks in advance, mate.
And congrats for your cool software! :)

I've tried the network adapter at %DefVar(N=13) and %DefVar(N=11) and %DefVar(N=8) and none of them seem to work.. anyone have any other ideas?

Yeah, start from 0 and go further until you find it. It's there, believe me!

When you change this value, double click on the script to reinitialize it with the new value.

Add a shortcut to LCDHype in the startup folder in start menu -> all programs.

You can additionally set in LCDHype to start running the script as soon as LCDHype starts and minimize on startup (do this from Configuration -> Common Configuration).

    Thanks Predator.

I have a little problem, sometimes when running LCDHype, for a split second the LCD displays the Asus default clock with the little icon, it's like both programs are running at the same time.

    Is this normal?

Don't forget to stop Asus Direct Console when running LCDHype, else you will get this clock every second and it will stay on the screen until LCDHype refreshes it.

Both programs can run at the same time anyway, but I don't see any point of that :)

I stop the Asus Direct Console, well, I open it and set the LCD Display to off, but it still show the asus clock once in a while.

Should I close the Asus Direct Console completely instead of turning it off?

Look in LCDHype plugins subforum. There are plugins for RivaTuner, Speedfan and many more... It could be written a plugin for HWMonitor or Coretemp of course, but I don't have the time right now to do it, so I stick to Everest until then.

This is a great thread and "news".
Thank you Predator_MF for sharing this with us.
Looking forward for the MSN plug-in and the rest of your quality work.
How long did it take you to write the driver for the G1S OLED screen?

Did anyone notice that the G1S OLED screen suffers from "Burn-In"s or whatever they are called? The LED becomes less bright when it is turned on for a long time. There is still a "ghost effect" remaining from the clock and logos of the asus console.

also hope that there will be a visualization for MPC, media player classic!

UPDATE: just a suggestion: the network bandwidth fluctuates alot, maybe it should be averaged over a period of time... I will look into it later on.

Took 2 days, thanks to asusoled linux project, which I got the information about header which must be sent to the LCD so it will respond (although it took some major modifications in Windows).

Yes, a friend told me that when he inverts the whole screen he could see the Asus logo burned on it. It's wearing...but it should have descent lifetime. I think the best way to increase it's lifetime is to add a screensaver to the script (I did this last night and I'll add it to the megascript update later)

I hope that you are not all counting on me to do all the job on it, rrrrright ? :D
There are bunch of guyz that write software here, also on LCDHype's forum, so come on people, do something about it! ;)

I did some modifications, you will see them in the updated megascript soon.

Of course, you are free to use all the samples I've provided to create your own scripts. The more you share, the better scripts we all will have! ;)

In Everest, open it's preferences, go to External Programs, Enable shared memory, from the list down select to export GPU/CPU temperatures.

Hint: disable exporting of FSB, GPU clocks etc, leave only temperatures, else you will probably get stuttering for 100-200ms (that's the time it takes for Everest to read the data)

I don't know why, maybe the latest vista defender update, but now I can't no longer run LCDHyper without the bothering UAC asking me for permission to run the program.

Is there any way to fix it without turning UAC off?

    Thanks in advance.

Edited and cleaned the original Mega Script, kept menu but removed autochange feature, and made some other minor scripts, including a small game (best played if you set the directional buttons to CTRL+ALT+directional buttons, and I myself used special 1 as CTRL+ALT+page down and special 2 as CTRL+ALT+page up)

Hope to see sidelight plugin soon, I could really use it in my little game :D

Tnx Predator_MF for drivers, and original Mega Script, couldn't have done it without them ;)

Edit: see last upload for latest version of G1 script including some games

KilledKenny, the Asus G-series and the screensaver are very good! I'll combine it with my megascript in the future if you don't mind :)

I've done few modifications myself, but I'll post them later when I finish them (like autochanging scripts when temps go high, winamp starts, screensaver starts etc. etc. etc.). The screensaver is really recommended because this OLED display is exhausting itself, especially when ASUS logo stays over it for a long time

PS: And the game is cool too :D

Sure you can use them in your script, I'm glad you like them :) Still creating new stuff, I find this scripting very addictive :D

Trying to make defender (side scrolling shooter) atm, am already able to shoot multiple shots :D

Hehe...nice, I'm tried to create the snake but I'm so lack of time...yeah you are right, scripting is addictive...every time I decide to edit my scripts, I come with new idea for a script and before I blink a whole hour is gone :D

PS: Why do you remove the autochange feature ? If it's because of the lack of buttons - you have whole 6 buttons, the other two I haven't used in my megascript are 64 and 128

I think it's rather distracting having the screen switch whole the time, so I removed the autochange. I made a monitor instead where you can check all stats on one screen.

PS: side scrolling shooter is finished and ready for download.
PSS: how is the sidelight plugin doing?

I don't have enough time to make the plugin (btw I have to make two more for MSN and aimp), you will all have to wait few days... sorry

I left my laptop turned on for a while (1 hour+) and when I returned to it it was using the CPU 50%+ and the fans were at full speed. did it happen to anyone else ?

PS: I am still researching how to catch info from the MSN messenger :) But I think i will give up on it if it will use any more resources than what it is already using with the default direct console :)

Just did a little enhancement for Predator_MF version, changed asusG1S 8600GT script in gamer clock in date of the day. :)
I just keep one problem from the original program , CPU temperature isn't active in CPUtemperature menu..... :(, but it's active in Gamer Clocks

In all case , BIG THANX for Predator_MF to bring us in this funny tune. ;)

Might have already been posted but I dont feel like looking through all these pages.

If you got a G series that won't read the gpu temp using the scripts in this thread, you can change TGPU2 to TGPU1DIO and it should fix it.

I got a further improved version of Predator's script I'll be posting if anyone's interested.

I just stumbled upon this after having my G1 for almost a year. I have to questions, why would my hotkeys to change toggle between all the displays not work? I even set them to just single keys with no luck. I have to do it manually.

Also would some one want to make a script that shows FPS, CPUTEMP, GPU TEMP, MEM usage and CPU%?

It would be a great view while gaming.

Check my G1 script, it has a monitor which shows CPU and RAM usage, fan speed and CPU, GPU and HDD temps. Only thing not included is FPS. It's possible with the Fraps Plugin, but you still see the FPS in a corner of the screen while in game, so I found it rather useless...

Thanks for the script. I downloaded it and its working :). But I have some problems:
    1. The CPU and GPU temperature isn't showing (Fan rpm is non functional too).
2.On the screen showing the CPU, RAM, CPU, and GPU usage percentage and bar graph, the second CPU reading and the last CPU reading is blank.
3.The screen with C, G, H, and I written on it has no reading, except for the first "C".

Anyone can help me solve these issues? Thank you

Actually G and H should be removable discs (mp3 player, flash drive, etc.) and this is usefull when uploading data to it :) CPU and GPU readings are coming from everest, you must have it installed and configured to send data to external applications (Preferences -> External Applications -> Enable shared memory).

Good job predator! I figured out everything except a few things if you dont mind answering :)

    1. how do you get lcd hype to start up at windows automatically
    2. how do you assign keys for G1s-B2? I dont quite understand what youre talking about by "drivers control panel in lcd hype" according to this instruction:
    Key1: Left (Previous Screen)
    Key2: Right (Next Screen)
    Key3: Menu
Key4: Enter (Autochange when not in menu)

(In Asus G1S these keys are assigned trough the driver's control panel in LCDHype)
