    Could someone that has LCDhype please post an attachment for it and any other files that were hosted @ lcdhype.de? The domain has expired and it doesn't appear to be coming back.

    What problem do you need a solution for? I think Predator_MF already updated LCDHype to work for the G50. See his signature.

    Hey Predator, just wanted to say the scripts you got setup are awesome, been using them for some time now. However, I've been having the same problem that " hallogenio" back on Page 34 was having with the Overclocker Script.

    After downloading the latest version of FRAPS, and replacing the files in the LCDFraps Plugins folder I am still unable to get the FPS to show up. It just remains a constant 0; however, if I just download the FRAPS plugin and not replace the files with the new version, the FPS works. Is there something I have to change to get the Plugin to work with the new version of FRAPS?

    Btw, the FRAPS version I'm using is 2.9.6. Thanks.

    I'm using 2.9.4 and have no problem with it. I guess it's version related, the only thing to fix it is a new plugin from Virustrinity (the author of LCDHype and many of the plugins including the fraps plugin). Until that happens, use 2.9.4, I don't think there are so major changes between 2.9.4 and 2.9.6 anyway

    Firstly, you guys are total legends!

    What you guys are doing here, especially Pretator_MF! is freakin insane! Well done. I have for ages thought about hacking that little OLED but unfortuntly my scripting skills are none existent!!

    Ive gone through most of these forum pages but am struggling to find a quick easy script that i can insert into my G2P.

    Is there any possiblity that you guys are able to develope one for the G2 range....i would really dig to check my ATI GPU temps when playing games and also monitoring my bandwidth when browsing/downloading!

    Again, you guys are legends and just from reading this forum I will be looking into this scripting (if thats what its even called) as I feel I'm totally missing out on something!

    Thanks again!
    Nice one!

    Hi Preditor, just found this post and thank you is really useful. One thing though the GLED.dll plugin it it doesn't quite work for the new G1Sn in that the mail LED does not come on.

    It does work if I use the Asus chkmail tool but if I use any of the 3rd party tools they also don't work. Im guessing the hardware ID for that LED has changed but I dont have the knowledge to find out what its changed to or to recode your plugin.

    Is it possible to get it updated? I will be more than happy to help out any way that I can.

    It is going to be (at least) the 10-th time I will say this - there is no LED driver for G50, there is OLED driver for G50, those are two different drivers to do two different tasks. The OLED driver drives the OLED screen (the LCD screen above your keyboard), the LED driver works as a plugin for LCDHype that controls the LEDs of your laptop - the Mail LED, the Touchpad LED and the Gaming LED. The LED driver for G1S is not made to work on G50, if it does work somehow, it will not control the backlight of the G50, it will probably control the mail led and the touchpad led only.

    It will be great if we get a script/plugin for CoreTemp and GPU-Z since they are free and used by a lot of people...anyone?

    It's up to you if you find any GPU-Z plugins for LCDHype, which I very much doubt. Everest is the best solution so far and it does the job well, plus with Everest you have the whole bunch of data inside just one software.

    Could someone give me a quick hand?

    I just got megascript running again after failing to get it working nicely once before. I installed it yesterday got it all going and stuff, Proper directories for the plugins and all. It Worked but wouldent stay on the skype menu and would get stuck on it. It wont show me the msn menu, just goes to the dolly clock. And nothing to do with winamp will work, if i go to any of the winamp things while playing my music my LEDS will start to blink to the music then it goes to some random menu. I also have everest coporate installed and it always says everest isnt running.

    Things that Dont work:

    -Msn Menu
    -Skype Menu
    -Any Winamp Menu
    -Any Everest related menu

    Things that do work:

    -Navigating the menu
    -Cpu usage graph
    -All HD info
    -And network info (Wifi/LAN)
    -And that stupid dolly clock that it keeps reverting to when a menu doesent work properely
    -Oh and that Battery plugin works too

    So i need to know if this is something i did or just a huge bug, i followed the instructions carefully and believe its a bug, Though i could be doing something wrong

    Any help is superbly appreciated

    Cheers ;)

    Read the description of the Megascript carefully! You need to enable Everest sending data to external application (File -> Preferences -> External Applications -> Enable shared memory). You also have to start the Megascript from the first script always, so it initializes properly. There are no such "huge" bugs, everything works fine as thousands of users confirmed it.

    Im still confused, i have been up and down the menu and seen nothing about sharing memory from everest.

    And its not just everest related things that are being odd, its all the winamp related plugins :S

    Theres a screenshot to verify im not crazy :p unless someone sees something im missing

    Hi !
    I'm the happy owner of a g50v, and i just noticed something weird when using lcdHype+Everest Ultimate.
    Everest checks temperatures/voltages/etc every 3-5 seconds or so, and each time it checks, we can notice a freeze in most games, and sound corrupts ("clicks" or "pops" in the speakers)
    I disabled lcdhype and everest, and everything is fine now.
    I tried it with megascript 2 and a script of my own (only one screen with everything i think usefull : CPU/GPU temps, GPU freqs, and battery state), and same results...

    I maybe misconfigured Everest, I don't know... But i thought it was important enough to notice here...

    It's a well known Everest Ultimate issue - when checking for GPU clocks (every 3-5 seconds) it does some shuttering. That's why the "Overclocker" screen has 3 modes of operation...you can just exclude exporting of GPU Clock/GPU Shader clock / GPU Mem clock from the Everest options and the shuttering will be gone. The Overclocker screen will automatically switch to another mode when you do that, so it won't show "no data available".

    Does this mean you can't control overclocking while you're playing ? Because it was the primary fonction for me...
    Maybe i misunderstood something ? (my english is not so good sometimes...)

    By the way, I thank you for your scripts and driver, you really are the man :)

    Try updating with the latest Everest Ultimate release, the shuttering there is reduced to minimum.

    Okay sorry i didnt realize corporate lacked some features, ill get ultimate.

    To further explain my winamp problem...

    Okay ill try to make myself clear as i am probably not very.

    With winamp closed, i go through the OLED menu to one of the winamp Plugins(currently trackpad emblem not on). Upon selecting one of the winamp plugins my Trackpad light goes on and the side LEDS stay lit and it takes me to the skype screen. Side LEDS are completely controllable with menu

    With winamp open, Playing music, I go through the OLED menu to one of the winamp plugins (Trackpad emblem on from before). Upon selecting one of the winamp Plugins my Trackpad light goes to the music along with the side LEDS for 1 second then goes to the dolly clock. Side LEDS are still completely controllable from menu.

    I resolved my skype issue as well, I just needed to look at skype and allow lcdhype.exe to access my skype info.

    Your script is amazing, by far the only one im going to bother with ever. Otherwise the lcdhype isnt worth it without your script :)

    Anyways, if theres anything i can do to help you help me let me know

    EDIT: Everything works amazing now, i got everest and stuff, so its just winamp im not having good things happen with. Is there a version of winamp verified to work

    EDIT AGAIN:

    You can call me stupid and a waste of time, i went to the beggining of this confusing thread and read up on everything and found i needed to put a plugin in winamp. Oh jeeze.

    Beautiful i have musical lights.

    Keep working on this predator its amazing and very bug free. The users just need to work their own bugs out

    You can just put a shortcut to it in start menu -> startup...

    In my case, I'd like to know if someone tried to hack/disable Direct Console LCD fonction, to be able to use LCDhype + overclocking in the same time, without being annoyed by Direct Console own LCD script ?

    Edit :
    Does anyone knows why the screen kinda blinks (switch off an on) with some fonctions ?
    For an exemple
    Code:
    %DefVar(BattPLG='battery\batteryplugin.dll')
    %DefFunc(BattPercent=%UsePlugin(%BattPLG(),LifePercent))
    %DefFunc(BattFlag=%UsePlugin(%BattPLG(),nBatteryFlag))
    %DefFunc(ACFlag=%UsePlugin(%BattPLG(),nACFlag))

    %If(%ACFlag() = 1)
    Then
    {
    %BattPercent()'%'
    %If((%ACFlag() = 1) AND (%BattFlag() = 1))
    Then{
    %Common.CreateNewLine()
      %Graph.Font('Arial',8,1)
      '  Charged'
      }
    makes the LCD blink, but
    Code:
     %UsePlugin('Battery\BatteryPlugin.dll',LifePercent)'%'
    doesn't...

    Any chance the TurboGear software from the G71G works on your system? They broke the overclocking out from Direct Console which just controls the OLED and LED's.

    @ Guru Predator_MF :)

    What an amazing script, loving it so far :)
    Really gives the Asus LEDs a new life.

    I got everything to work except my RED lights :p (G2S)

    They for some reason just keep blinking, no matter what is going on :(
    I have tried toggling them, even when I toggle them off the still keep blinking. The LED display works absolutely fine for me with the winamp script.

    Just wanted to ask if you needed Everest for the Battery script? Coz that one also doesn't display. But I am interested especially in the Musical lights ;)

    Anyone else had a similar problem. Would appreciate some help.

    Thanks again for the script :) great work :)

    To get the battery scripts working you only need the battery plugin, it works standalone. I advice you to get all the required plugins, it doesn't hurt. The reason the lights are blinking is probably you put the GLED in that mode - try changing the mode with Ctrl+Shift+F9 :)

    Thank you so much for replying :)

    I had already tried Ctrl+Shift+F9 before :( and tried again to no avail. BTW should I keep the Direct Console running or not ?

    The weird thing is that the Ctrl+Shift+F9 has no effect even when I GLED mode off, the still keep blinking.

    I have Vista and G2S do I maybe need to replace drivers or something?

    And I will definatly be getting all the plugins. The only little problem if that most of the information on the LCDhype website is in German, so I cannot read :( so sometimes its hard to find things.

    Thanks again :) and keep up the great work

    You should uninstall Asus DirectConsole and forget about it. If you keep it running, that's what's causing the GLED to blink. Even if you close it, it still has an executable running as background process that keeps the GLED blinking

    You are the best Predator_MF :) thanks a lot for the helping again

    But I still couldn't get it to work after uninstalling Asus DirectConsole. Everything is working except the GLEDs. And in the log of the LCDHype it says that
    "No port drivers found." can that be the problem ?

    I am glad even the Winamp peaks are working :), they look amazing

    "No port drivers found." is nothing to be concerned for. If you have installed LCDHype properly (0.6 base version and then upgraded to the latest 0.6.0.5) you'll have no problem, those drivers are for LPT displays only, since they need direct access to 0x3F8 memory which every windows above 98 forbids directly... Anyway, check again if you have installed the GLED plugin correctly - you have to put it into < LCDHype folder >\plugins folder with its subfolder named GLED. To help you more - the GLED.dll must be into the folder < LCDHype folder >\plugins\GLED\.

    That was indeed the problem I didn't have the GLED plugin. THANKS for your help :) I wouldn't have got it without your help.

    Now my G2S GLED have life :)

    Hey, tried LCDHype and megascript. It's working fine on my G71G (and I modified some of the logos and other text for the fun of it), except that I still see the built in Battery gauge pop up. Is there any way to disable that? I already uninstalled the Asus direct console.

    Hi, I have a problem with my lcdhype megascript display. Whenever it gets to the GPU temp, %, fraps etc, the displays don't show correctly despite having everest ultimate installed. Anyone have any suggestions to fix this? Furthermore, is there really no iTunes plugin for this? Final question is that is there a way for me to set it so that it only shows specfic lcd displays that I want. For instance, I really like the sheep fence jumping frame with just the time etc. I would like to set it so that its permenantly at that.

    Hi Predator, I appreciate all that you've done but that link you've provided isn't going to the correct URL. Its going to some faq about what laptops better fits the user. Well, my main problem is that whenever I am showing the GPU temp and Overclocker lcd screens.

    In the GPU temp screen, there is no graph and the temperature is shown as TRIAL. The same is true for overclocker screen. None of the menus in that section are functional. Hope you guys can help me out in making this kickass application work on my computer.

    The FAQ is at the bottom of the Megascript post, down in my signature. You can find answers why the GPU temp is not showing there.

    Hi predator,

    I managed to figure out the problem. Since I have the new G71G which has a bigger LCD screen that the previous models that your script was designed for. The numbers are overlapping and not showing at the correct positions for overclock. I was wondering whether there is a patch to fix this? I did download the new LCD configuration and set everything to 256 x 32 but only the overclock panel is showing the problem with the numbers not matching up to where they ought to be. Do you have a solution for this problem?

    Hmm, so i'm assuming no one has any idea to change the script for the overclocker panel so that the values appear in the correct positions for my g71g viewed at 256 x 32. Some input would be really appreciated.
