Haha I've never seen that before.

LOL thats awsome! My roommate and I actually spent the summer building a custom arcade cabinet. It runs off a 10 year desktop and has a rotating monitor for Vertical Shooters or Side Scrollers
Its our pride and joy as well...
-
You know the saying good things come to those who wait, im was just wondering what side of the stick i am on, so if you waited to not to pre-order you got newegg(or you could've just cancelled) laptop sooner, so if i wait this out will something good come from all this waiting

Stealth bomber W Notebook Enthusiast
Probably not other than getting a great lappy LOL

So, for those who already have these babies, what's the verdict on the ATI drivers? Stability, performance, etc, etc--
-
Not sure if this has already been posted but a new BIOS is already out on the ASUS support site:

So Im loving my X1 and will some pics later but I want the Intel 5300 wifi card and I think I know which one is correct the Intel WiFi Link 5300 PCI Express Half Mini Card. These are two diffetent sizes just making sure I order the correct, so which one is correct? The stock card will not do 5ghz well atleast I cant get it to, max speed is 130 Mbps...

-
I preordered 1/19 and wired transfer same day..
Feels like im never gonna get this laptop, i think its better to think like that anyway. -
Thanks Justin......
-
How about the 6200 here. Shipping is a bit pricey.
-
I've got my wire transfer form signed at the bank, waiting to be sent once I get a call or email that says they have one for me.
-
I purchased the Intel 6200 from Provantage last night. Total came to $31 w/ 2 day shipping. They did charge a lot for shipping relative to the price the item. However, it was the cheapest I could find from a decent e-tailer. Ebay was a no go since the prices were above $40 and those cheap enough were from China.
-
eeeewwww.
double eeeewwww.
-
Even, you get yours yet?
-
Seems to be the best "two-wired" option.
-
On the truck for delivery! Having it delivered to me at work. I'm really not sure how much work I will get done after it arrives. Actually I'm not sure how much work I can get done now because I am excited!
-
Nope, been out for delivery since yesterday morning. I think UPS is having a LAN party this morning.
-
Keep the other IT guys away!
-
Isn't that obvious, given your profile pic? Clearly hot stuff...
-
My last 3 UPS entries
Edited:
Hope they bring it back in good shape.
-
That's what I thought as well. No need to go 3-wire unless you plan to mod it yourself. I want 300mbps with my dual band linksys router. It really helps when streaming HD content to my HDTV. I'll do a review of it when I get it.
-
I'm sorry to hear that Mandrake. I'm actually surprised that UPS isn't as reliable. I mean I thought the USPS was the worst. Maybe they still are. But I vowed never to go with USPS when they lost my $850 on a laptop sale. UPS hasn't failed me yet...hope they never do. But I know that nothing in this world is perfect.
-
USPS is my favorite. Reasonable price and they deliver on Saturdays for free!
-
I guess everyone's the best until they screw you over.
-
This is the second time I can remember a package going into limbo with UPS. The first one was a grill and it stayed at UPS becuase they were too lazy to bring it to me. They asked me to pick it up and I gave them a big HECK NO! (cleaned up version)
-
Please let us know how you make out with this.
-
Sure thing, be happy to.
-
Shoot at least they didn't just "LOSE" the item. They never even shipped my product. Tracking just kept saying it was at the place where I sent it from. All they gave me was a case# and a "have a nice day."
-
Does anyone think it is possible to run a 3rd antenna wire without voiding the warranty? Where do the antenna wires go in a laptop anyways? The LCD?
-
Mine's still chillin' somewhere between Memphis, TN and Northern VA. Funny how FedEx seems to be taking their good old time with it now...and there's not even any listed service advisories anymore. Awesome.
-
Well it's not exactly "free". They are tax payer funded, so I guess that means you're really paying for it.
-
Mine was transfered long ago!
Guess how i feel, ive already payed for the lappy, and wont get it until summer. -
Actually, USPS is self-sufficient. No taxes go to the post office.
-
That is very funny Drivont. They bled 3.8 billion last fiscal year. Guess who picked up the tab?

did i miss something?? i thought evensen and the rest were getting their's on 15th-17th....
Btw congrats guys! -
Miracles do happen. I was moved to the initial A2 shipment that Xotic got in in very limited quantities since I had pre-ordered my A1 so early on.
-
Cool to see that, and I'd prefer the lower resolution, but it's not an LED backlit screen so it's out for me
(Rather go Asus anyway since I'm not as sure if MSI builds good notebooks.)
Ugh. What an idiot. I just thumbed him down. Something like 0 of 46 negatives for his "review" so far.
The insane thing is it's not even heavy. 8lbs is only 2.5lbs heavier than Apple's 15" model, for crying out loud! And just a SLIGHT difference in hardware specs and cooling
I love these freaks who don't care about performance, and just how light something is. I had all these PSP Go fanbois going on about how much "smaller" and "lighter" it is than the better-in-almost-every-respect 3000 model.
Similar to you
Although I'm getting overwhelmed by posts anymore.
Mass Effect 1 has activation (still!) but Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 don't. They still have a disc check, but we've been dealing with that since at least 2000. I draw the line on activation, but Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 are possibilities for me.
I think I'm going to buy Dragon Age for PC, but I haven't decided on Mass Effect 2 yet. I was going to buy the original on PC, waited 6 months for it, and then when it had activation, I bought the Xbox one instead (giving money to a different publisher...) So now my save file of course is on the Xbox.
Well, get a player not by Sony then
If you like shows or movies, you want Blu Ray. I switched all my stuff last year, and rent Blu Ray unless it's not available.
It kind of does make sense your way, since you're going from smallest to largest, and we go medium, small, large.
None the less, I still have to think about it a moment since I'm so used to 'my' way
That is...weird. My UPS seems to be really, really good, really professional. I love them and actually my mom never had issues with them either, but I'll sometimes hear people in other areas with complaints.
Nope. It apparently hasn't received funding since the early 80s. I love that we have a post office though!

I guess the internet disagrees with itself. -
STOP! You're going to open a black hole in the logic of the interwebs!
-
Hmm, you're right. Our articles don't jive. Ah well, I have been wrong before so I could be wrong again!
On another topic... I may hunt down the UPS truck that has my G73 and get instant gratification!
-
Wow nice!
how many A2's did they get? -
Go ask about mine while you're at it.
-
Someone brought something up in the G51jx thread that I hadn't thought about...
Is playing Blu Ray going to be an issue on the G73 since you have to use hacked or force installed drivers? If so, it's doubly out for me. (Already wasn't thrilled by having to use hacked drivers...and I'm not sure if you can just force the drivers to install as you could with Nvidia.)
Still don't know about iPod/iPhone support either on any of these xM55 chipset systems. -
Kc,
As far as I know, it was a very limited initial amount similar to what Gentech received. Don't quote me on this, but I think it might have been around 25-50 units.
Edit: IT ARRIVED! It's at our mail receiving center. I am going to run over there right now. W000000000000t -
Gratz! enjoy.
-
Congrats Evensen007 ...

The wireless download section on the ASUS support site here shows drivers for the Intel(R) 1000 WiFi Wireless LAN and Intel(R) 6000 WiFi Wireless LAN.
Don't the G73s come with Atheros wireless cards though?
