Looks like a new BIOS is available. Lists RAID 0 support.

im planning on buying an ASUS G752VY (I7 6700HQ, 980M 4GB, 1TB HDD, NO OS).
Has anyone of you installed a completely fresh Win 10 (no factory image)? What drivers did you install ? How can you install the ASUS Gaming Center and configure the Macro Keys?
Is there anyone using Win7 on this notebook?
And has anyone of you removed the BluRay Drive and put in a SSD/HDD ? (i would like to swap the ODD with an adapter and use my MX100 512GB 2.5" SSD instead of the BluRay drive)
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Why would you want to buy it without the Asus configured OS? That's such a time savings. Why do it all over from scratch on your own, it's a waste of time, you won't get it to run any better / faster.

You will likely have trouble getting all the software included via download, so you will end up with less, not more / better OS.

Do the models in your country not include the OS? I know I have seen that with previous models of the G751/G750. That sucks.

It's not easy knowing what to download if you don't have a list of what was / is installed in the Asus Windows image.

Of course they also offer a version of the G752 with preinstalled OS here in Germany, but the Value of the non OS Version is just way better (the non.OS Version starts at 1699€, meanwhile the next (cheapest) version with pre-installed OS costs 1999€). 300€ extra for 256GB of SSD and preinstalled Windows 10 is too much (in my opinion). The non OS Version just features a better value.

I bought ASUS G752VY (I7 6700HQ, 980M 4GB, 1TB HDD, with OS), but after 2 weeks I swaped the hdd with a ssd (samsung 830 512gb), reinstalled win10 and only the drivers from asus(no macro software or anything), I put the originall hdd in a caddy, in the place of optical drive, I did not delete the original win fromn hdd, if I need I can boot from hdd(from caddy), until now all work ok...I think win 7 can be installed on it, but I find on internet that win 7 and chipset for gen 6th of cpu don't mix too well, also because of software I use, I must stay with win10

Which caddy did you use? Could you send me a link ? (apparently there are 2 types of 5.25" ODD -> 2.5" HDD caddys depending on the heitgh of the slot [12.7mm or 9.5mm]
I dont necessarily need the ASUS Software, but the Audio software works ?

Has anyone updated BIOS to v.211 already? If so what is the safest method to do that? I've bricked my G73jh during bios updating once so I'll be cautious this time.
