After gaming HWinfo shows 99-101 max but i never had problems until yet. Which laptop cooler would work fine with the G73?

    Edit: Sacred2 demo 106 degree max X_X

so with the official release 10.3 drivers i get a max temp of 95ºC on furmak with everything maxxed on the stock clocks... after 2 hours of mw2 on max settings on stock clocks the max temp was 86ºC

this all with 68ºF ambient temps

what are the max clocks some you guys are getting

also with the AMD gpu clock tool it gives 2 voltages. 1.15 and .95 it is locked at 1.15. anyway to get it to take .95?

.95 is the 2D settings. It automatically down-clocks to that when the 3D settings are not in use. You can flash the card to change to any voltage you want to.

Is it still cold outside where you are? Even 55-50f is enough to help a good bit (mid 30's to 40 give great results)

    ;)

That will make it harder. If you have AC you can sit the laptop on the vent or if you have an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard you can put the laptop into a freezer or refrigerator lol

    Something like this

My old asus netbook i just sold had the N280 and i was at 2.15ghz completely stable... this was using a modified setfsb program i picked up from the EEEforums... was able to watch high def Hulu as well... it was fun to mess with but none of the OC programs worked properly with windows 7

Borderlands @107C. Also, it has turned off while playing bioshock, it hit 111 before doing so (according to the logs).

It does cool off quite quickly, I rarely *see* it at these temps, but if you check the graph out (using afterburner or another over-time temp monitor), then you can see it drops 5 degrees immediately when it's not being used.

I've noticed it doesn't get this hot if you turn AA off ... but that just goes to show that the memory isn't being cooled properly. I figure the heating pads aren't properly attached, or the heatsink isn't connecting quite right.

1: asus is ranked like number in the world right now. (benching asus parts)
2: they wont be pushing his laptop any where near how he would.

    so no button pushing here.

    you have a tv right?
probably would have to be one of the more expensive ones though...
because 1080p tv resolution is not the same as 1080p computer resolution.

My plasma is a few years old, only does 720p/1080i.

It was an April Fools joke. It's supposed to read they're giving me my money back and an A1 for my troubles. ;)

nice! i remember the 256 version was that price..then shot up to the outer limits of 900.00+...now its back down to about 750.00

and it has a pc resolution...probably only 1024x768 though.

This limited edition has the faster SandForce Controller and now it looks like they dropped it by another $20.

With my Corsair X128 (indilinx barefoot) would it be worth it to switch to OCZ or Intel? Still got some change in the bank tempting me pretty hard

Probably not. My Mushkin is very similar and I doubt I will see any obvious difference.
