I also ordered from xoticpc... re-paste and wifi card upgrade. hopefully they ship within ten days because they told me production time is currently 5-10 days, if not, can I cancel the order and order it from another place?

To give you an idea, I purchased a GX740 MSI from GenTech and it was pasted + shipped in 24hrs.
GenTech is lightning fast. -

I apologize some of your are experiencing slightly longer lead times. We are going through the tail end of back to school season and getting through this slight surge. We are going through hundreds of machines in production every week and are working with customers to ensure each order is shipped out as soon as possible. I know some of you have a couple small upgrades, we build all orders in the order they were invoiced, not by complexity of upgrades. Feel free to PM me and I will always be more then happy to see what we can do to get your order out ASAP.

shipped in 24 hours vs. 10 business days ???? doh
stop the excuses and meet the demand, or customers go to the
place that will meet their needs, and in a timely manner

wow !! NICE -
I've only been on these boards a couple of years but Xotic has always been highly recommended as well. So I mean no disrespect to them as I suck up Donald in hopes that it helps my order get processed super quick when my laptop becomes available. -

Please trust us that we are working very hard to get all of the computers built as quickly as possible. Anyone here who is past our normal 3-7 business day build time please contact me directly at the email address below. Please provide your order number and I will personally check on your order, give you an exact ETA, and work with the production team to further prioritize your order.
I can assure you that lead times like this are not normal, and we are taking the appropriate steps to reduce lead times with the high volume of machines going through production. -
dude its not modification alone . i ordered g73jh it took 1week+ just for laptop to ship out from your place and i didn't even modified it . one more thing when i asked on live chat that is g73jh-A2 available your stuff said no so i choose g73-A1 removing bluray and fit dvd-rom but when my order got delayed and no update from you guys, i called and a girl name Elizabeth(something like that ) told me A2 is available >.< i just said send it as i was leaving for india in 2days so had to choose expensive shipping plan . really i am unhappy with your service and won't recommend others to buy from you guys .

Mastersquall,
I do understand what you are saying and I am sorry for the timing that you experienced. When the G73jh models were discontinued and out of stock we started offering the A1 models instead of the A2 models but with downgraded blue ray drives. (this was offered for free at the same price even though we were spending a small amount of labor to do this downgrade) When you downgrade the blue ray drive it still has to go through the production queue. Even though you didn't add anything, we did have to remove the blue ray drive and replace it with a standard optical drive. While this is a simple thing to do, we still had to place your order in the production queue. We complete orders in the production queue in the order that they are invoiced and if we put "easy" orders ahead of more complex orders this would not be fair to those who have already been waiting in the queue. I am sure that you wouldn't want other orders placed ahead of yours because they are what we all would consider easier.
We did receive a shipment of about 10 G73jh-A2 models after they officially went out of stock. This wasn't an expected shipment as we just had the opportunity to pick up a small amount of them so we took advantage of that opportunity. This is what I am sure you experienced when you called and spoke with our customer service representative. We wouldn't lie to you and tell you that we didn't have the A2 model so we could use unnecessary labor to downgrade an A1 to meet your needs. That would have been unproductive for the both of us. What you were told was true both times you were told it. Sometimes when you only have a short time frame to receive something, orchestrating that can be difficult and costly due to needing guaranteed shipping methods. I am sorry that at the time when you placed your order we didn't have the model in stock that you wanted. Which required you to spend more money to get it to you by the time you needed it.
Please email me at [email protected] so I can speak with you more about your experience. -
Hmm... I wonder if there's any way to get a Korean keyboard put in the G73-JW I am planning on ordering
The other options (external or on screen keyboard) aren't that appealing to me. It would be a nice thing to have, since I occasionally have to type in Hangul.
Resellers... possible, or not? I haven't seen the option, so it probably doesn't look good for me. Not a deal breaker though. -
I'm pumped, ordered g73jw over weekend, less than 24hours turnaround and it is out. I'll be receiving my baby tomorrow!!! Ken at Gentechpc is very easy to deal with. I called several places w/ both technical and other questions. I chose Gentechpc for to place my order because they were the only ones who were able to answer all my questions which was absolutely important. Not knocking on anyone else, but this is first time ordering laptop online and also buying a high end laptop, so i wanted to be absolutely sure what i was getting into.
