Hello FlamesOfOrigin, are you still using the Creative Audigy copy from Asus? I just uploaded the copy of Creative Audigy that came with the Asus Driver and Utility Ver 1.0 Disc. That's the one I used in reinstalling my Creative Audigy software and I didn't have problems with it. Might be worth trying regarding your issue. Be sure to install this last if you are to reinstall your Realtek drivers. Don't forget to use CCleaner too when doing some uninstallations just to make sure =)

I'm having like the same problem and I installed Realtek drivers like they said, and I'm still having the same problem. It freezes up, or goes completely black, and I have to hold down my power button to shut it off.

Also now the screen is glitching too while I'm just playing Runescape in my browser. Yesterday I used it all day and had absolutely no issues.

You can configure the subwoofer/speakers in a better way, simply have a look at How to improve your notebook sound (ASUS G73 and other notebooks) - YouTube

You really don't need the Creative application for it, nor the Creative "Bass level" is so effective as the manual setup via the modified Realtek drivers as described in the video.

I personally uninstalled the Creative software completely (With DriverSweeper) because I got even with the posted solution still the described freezes sometimes.

I downloaded what the video told me like a mindless drone and yet no difference. I can't even find where to uninstalld the creative application and I have no idea where the settings for the "subwoofers" are. Lets assume you need to be specific...
