    G50V - 9700m GT overclocking

    I overclocked my 9700m gt inside an Asus G71V with an additional notebook cooler to 775/1000/1800 and games work without any problems. I'd used the Nvidia System Tools, overclocking is easy but you have to repeat it after every reboot.

    I took the 9700 to the limit, if I then raised the FSB the card would act as it was over the limit. I was able to test my way to the fact that I had to lower the GPU core and shader the same % I was raising the FSB. I confirmed it by temp and scores that it really was connected like that.
    All programs though like GPUZ would not report the changes in the GPU caused by the FSB, the numbers would not change but the performance did.
    Then I changed the GPU to 9800 and now it doesn't act as linear as the 9700 did when I raise the FSB. Still trying to figure it out.

    Well seems then I was wrong! I'm sorry I assumed that... interesting that the 9700m is linked to the FSB but the 9800m is not. Thanks for correcting me :)
