Try this website: www.iship.com they have much better real time tracking of UPS packages than the UPS site itself which is pretty sad.

indilinx, specs really close to the vertex , as an os drive, difference will be barely noticeable compared to intel or vertex, i assume

They sent it fedex due to the ups delays in VA.

    Be thankful they did that.

I just got a call from UPS and they blamed weather even though there is a scan at the local UPS hub and the ups truck made it to my neighborhood.

heh....FedEx hasn't done much of a better job getting it to VA. I did priority overnight 2 days ago and it still isn't here. Last scan was leaving Memphis, TN at 4:30 this morning. Hopefully you'll have better luck though.

My HD just got delivered from Tennessee directly to Milwaukee. I'm sorry about your luck dude. Gotta find a good caddy since I didn't go with SSD (too expensive for me right now).

Electric buck: I ordered Tuesday night non-rush and had a status change FINALLY this morning directly from charged to shipped. So it hopefully won't be long for you.

My separate order placed that night for the SSD is still at charged.

Call them and check. That doesn't make sense. I ordered mine at 3pm pacific time on tuesday and just checked the tracking number and it is out for delivery. I didn't do rush shipping or rush processing.

New Egg come through for me again. :D

Yup, it did. It finally left Memphis about 2 hours ago. After sitting there for over a day. Ugh. :-( Hopefully i'll get it tomorrow. My SSD has been in Newark, NJ since the 9th and hasn't moved...not sure what thats about either. Probably also snow related.

Isn't VA under 55" of snow or some such natural disaster? My mother's sister's son heard the entire east coast was closed, with no power and the military was distributing food.

I don't think FedEX will make it.

    Cheers,

Sad that you get an objectively better deal by getting the A2. You get a 2nd HDD, backpack and mouse with 100% same components on everything else for the same price.

Well, realize that they didn't start that way. The A2 was out of stock by then and the X1's stock was going fast, so it continued to climb up using fuzzy Newegg math. I got mine at $1429.

Compared to $1549 or $1599. Didn't need the backpack or mouse and will use my own 2nd drive ;)

hahahaha...no. I think everyone in VA THINKS that this is a natural disaster. People are so dramatic about snow here, it's ridiculous. We did get a lot of snow, but the roads, at least most of them were fine today.

I have no experience with them, but in reviews for comparison, the V series does show up and play ball. Since it supports TRIM, go for it if it is a good price/GB. Shouldn't be any issue working with the X1.

And now you can just buy the 2x BR burner/8x BR/CDRW Super Milti Drive for $359 and have a much better lappy than the A1.

Of course, you said you don't keep your notebooks longer than 6 months, so that might not be a cost-effective strategy for you.

This Sony's even cheaper- it's the one I picked up. They're a little scarce right now but it's a good drive and works out of the box.

Very nice, indeed. I would have opted for that one too, even if the write speed is 6x. That's a hell of a deal. Again, Well Played! Have you already installed it in the G73?

I received my X-1 today from newegg via ups. It has 1066MHz memory speed. I ordered the $70.00 extended warranty because of the website saying only one year. It is stamped on the top and bottom 24 months warranty so I cancelled the extra warranty with newegg. They had no problem doing so. Thanks for all the info. on this forum. It really helped me in getting this computer. So far I am very pleased with it. It is one beautiful computer. Thanks to Dell for delaying my M17x order several times. Otherwise I would have that and been wishing I had this one.

I ordered it on the 9th and it shipped from RMA Wharehouse in Whittier CA. It must of been an early purchase because I paid $1429.00 for it.

In all fairness, it old man winter, but Newegg did close the NJ warehouse on Wednesday. My X1 shows Shipped now, but no tracking number yet. I have looked at the NJ zip codes the UPS site says they are having delays with and none are Secaucus, NJ 07094 & 07096 (but the 077xx are screwed) where the warehouse is. So I'm still hoping to see a tracking number go up tonight.
    Good luck.

I and many others have wondered how the price could be this low for the G73JH's. I think all of the bloatware might have something to do with that. It's more than I'm use to. Not complaining. It will take a little time and effort to clean up. Hope I don't uninstall something important. lol

Serious about could the bloat being a reason the price is so low. Humorous about uninstalling something important.
