Are these all being shipped from California or has someone received one from NJ? I know most California buyers got these very quickly.

My laptop is currently in the air (I know, it friggin flies too!) coming from said Jersey. Touchdown will be about an hour from where I live. Do I put off work and try picking it up as soon as it hits the runway? Current ETA: Monday?

So most here agree this laptop is amazing. But I haven't seen any mention about docking stations. Would ASUS make one? Or are we stuck with third party solutions?

There is no dock port on the laptop. You would have to use a usb type of dock.

I cannot believe X1 and A2 are both the same price. 1600$ is a tad too much for me but I cannot understand having both the models at the same price?

I'm having a serious problem. I bought mine off newegg and whenever it renders any graphics such as in 3dmark vantage and cs source and other games white dots appear all over the place. Also, in vantage the water did not look like water and was all spiky and took up half the screen. I don't know what to do.

As much as of a pain it is, I usually have a hard drive handy to install a fresh OS on to see if the factory OS install is at fault.

Does anybody knows any other store where i can buy the x1?I dont care in wait like 1 month. Like im from brazil and i'm making an exchange program in the US so when i go back i'll have to pay 50% of tax over the value of my stuff so i can't have a laptop with a receive of more than 1500, so if anyone find another store i'll glad. Thats everybody

Yes. It should handle them just as well. Only minus in my eyes is the 1680x1050 screen. Cooling system is unknown as of yet, but I think Msi has had some pretty solid cooling solutions.

PS:Sorry for the doble post but i didn't figured out how to erase it.
I heard that it's not full hd...i don't know, but i have like 4 months to buy a laptop and i don't think that the x1 is going to get cheaper. What is the e-sata for???About hte chipset(Intel® HM55 Express Chipset ) is that different from the g73?Am i going to miss the 4gb of ram?
Sorry for all the questions but i'm kind of noob about pcs, my last pc was a P4 2.8 with 1,25gb of ram and a 40gb HD hahah.

You won't miss 4gb of ram. Yes, the chipsets are the same on both laptops.

If you have 4 months until you buy, you have many more choices by then.

Esata is a connection for certain external hard drives and Dvd/Blu ray drives. Very fast transfer device.

The X1 won't get cheaper, but you can get an A1 from a great reseller on here for cheaper than the x1 on newegg. Just have to wait for it to come in.

I'm in other forum from Brazil and they asked me to wait too, they think that i might go down to 1300 or less in 4 months after the demand go downm i don't think that it's going down, the bad think is that if i wait when i buy mine they're going to have a better one and im going to be with the same problem hahaha.
What do you mean with the greate seller from here(or something like that)???Used one or new?"Come out", do you means march or appril

Does anyone in the forum speak good Portuguese to help Bursoni? It would take me a while to answer his questions properly without my typical nuance. :p

I will give it a try Bursoni.

Resellers are listed on the first page of the owners thread. They are kind of like Newegg, but more involved in the sale.

It will NOT go down to 1300. Asus flips (refreshes) their laptop line way to fast for the price to come down. Too much demand on this laptop.

I'm sorry man, i'm trying, my english is not so good each, will be.
One funny think is that you know that in Brazil we speak portuguese, here i already listened that South America and Africa are the same think hahah. Thanks for the help man, anything around 1450+tax i accept, i just can't be 9,25% like in CA...

If you have 4 months to buy a laptop, I'd wait. 4 months is an extremely long time - enough for other companies to release their own high-end laptops which could possibly be better than the both the MSI and the G73.

I have two Dell 24" LCD Displays. Can the ASUS run the "internal" LCD, a display off the VGA, and one off the HDMI, all at the same time?

Was hoping to get one for my son. I guess i'll have to wait or grab one off ebay and get 8% cashback.

Only place that has really proven to have any stock is microcenter, and the X2 version. Other than that, You'll have to wait like everyone else.
